Is that a Robert Klaas or is it a Robert Classy?
Looks pretty classy to me.
Thanks Floyd!

Appreciate it!
I have several made in China Klaas knives and they are really well made so I can't wait to see how this Solingen Klaas is in comparison.

I haven't posted much in this thread. Usually wait until I receive the item. But, I know this seller, and I am totally "STOKED"

at finding this item, and at way under what a lot of places are asking for it. He shipped this morning so hopefully will be here by the end of the week.
It is a Camillus 72 Americana Whittler and was offered through the Sears Christmas Catalog in 1991. It is the standard Camillus 72 build, It has a Duck's landing on pond blade etch, It has bone handles, and there were only around 2000 produced. The one I am receiving is still in the original box, with insert and like new. I also picked up another Camillus made McGrew Hillbilly Classic (72 clone) from him, like new, with original box and papers. Got them both for under a "C-note.
Here are the sellers photos, I will post more about them when they arrive.

Tekna Xtra Edge. Made in USA. 3.5" OAL, with just under a 1.5" 420HC blade. Good enough for light use, while being small enough to fly under the radar.
I have been wanting to try this in place of a small lockback as my main fifth-pocket carry for a few years now. I have the slightly larger AG Russell Hunter Scalpel, which has a superior sheath design, but the handle and blade are too narrow. Plus, this model is offered in a blunt tip for emergency use, which the Pocket Scalpel isn't. They were $15 each, and KnifeCenter had a free shipping sale.
I ordered both pointed and blunt/screwdriver blade versions--so I wouldn't regret not buying a certain version. Decided to go with different colors, so I wouldn't risk mixing them up. I went with "rescue" orange for the blunt tip, and black for the pointed tip.
Weight is only a half-ounce each, so I may be carrying the two blades together a lot in my fifth pocket.

I lost my Schrade LB1.

I'm devastated!

It was in my watch pocket. I have looked high & low. At home & at work. But it's gone.

No idea how it happened.

Did I say I'm devastated?
Bought this one today but it is 2.8 inches long closed. It won't be the same.

Hate to hear you lost your LB1. Hopefully it will turn up, fingers crossed for you. You picked up a good looking replacement, but like you said, not quite the same. But still a good looker.

Anyone else here get in on the C. Risner (Traditional Pocket Knives) release/drop for the 2006 Queen Schatt & Morgan knives? Austin broke up 'sets' and sold them individually. They were the last original Queen S&M knives made at the Queen factory before they closed in 2006.
Got the Queen #16 large Congress coming at me...probably early next week delivery.

Sorry to hear of your LB1 disappearance , Tom. It's always a sad day when one loses a knife...especially when it is a mystery loss. Hope it does show up at some moment in time though.
Be sure to check the washing machine.

Nice!
I lost an absolutely tiny AG Russell (roughly the same size as the LB-1) I used to carry on my keys. I should've known the tiny pinned jewelery-type hasp wasn't up to the task. It caught on a chair on the porch and fell down the cracks.
That model is no longer produced, and it stinks, as it was pretty much the lightest knife I had that used metal handles.

MAC Coletellerie is an Italian firm producing inexpensive workhorses in Maniago. They are priced like a Chinese pile of junk, but they are solid knives. Most use 1.4116, which is a slight upgrade from the 420 stainless fellow Maniago cutler Antonini.
I have a couple of rope knives--while a little on the crude side, they're decent for the money.
Several Blue Ridge associated dealers carried a blunt tip rescue lockback, some fixed blades, as well as a couple of the slipjoints. Boker USA carried the same range for a couple of years, with a couple other models also. But until now, most of the catalog was sold in Europe wtih stupid shipping.
I splurged a bit for this one. SMKW had several that were $4.99, but this one was $18.99.
697E2 Electrician's knife. A big workhorse at just over 4 1/4" closed.
The "cable" blade with wire strippers has a lockback, but the partially serrated hawkbill blade is slipjoint. Kind of backwards compared to how I'd like it, but it makes sense, given they produce the model as a single blade also.
This was my only option for an affordable part-serrated hawkbill that wasn't made in China. Yes, I can get the Buck Work-Man TLC occasionally for that price, but it's a fixed blade.
I admit, I just bought these two since they'd ship with it. They're the less expensive $5 models.
Small slipjoint in blue--3 1/4" closed.
Large slipjoint--4" closed.

Always great to find a bargain. Thanks for posting. I’ll keep an eye out for them. $19 is very reasonable for an Italian made knife.

That’s a good looking knife and I am willing to bet that over time for grieving your loss, you will eventually feel the same about this replacement.
For some reason I don’t understand, I’ve only lost Buck knives so I switched to another brand and haven’t lost it in five years so far. All subsequent Bucks are in my collection and not EDC’s.
What’s very unique on the new one is that it looks like it has a Scandinavian grind. I’ve never seen that on a very small blade before. I’m tempted to buy one for myself.
