Fabulous pair of beauties J, that fixed is beautiful. Of course the Voos too, great bones old or new.

Today I'm packin' this Humason & Beckley pearl whittler. Just sharpened it this morning. It's a little beauty. 3 1/4"
Humason & Beckley; 1852 - 1916 in New Briton, Ct.
Sold to Landers, Frary & Clark, also in New Briton, Ct., in 1912. They used the H&B stamp until 1916. (Goins)
Sweet knife, doesn't look it's age either. Looks great.

Nice ones to start the work week, gent'men.

Going with a POS Exchange that had issues but were resolved by a reputable knife mechanic.

Robert Klass Kissing Crane with a blade for every occasion, even a wine happy hour.

Nice horn and the scissor spring isn't broken.

Don't tell LJ, he may want this one back!
Sweet piece you don't see every day. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Starting on a project. It's a Jeep, so I think my '61 Imperial Demo Knife is a good companion; being as both came out of WWII (though the Demo has seen use in 'Nam).
My great-uncle kept a bunch of junker Jeeps around the large farm he ran, and gave Granddad two--the CJ-3 and a rusted out CJ-5 with some rare parts (factory V-6, a Kelly Bonanza III cab). Without my Granddad's permission, my Dad heavily modified the CJ-3, and did a crappy job of it. We had a long battle over whose it actually was (which the title clearly lists my Granddad and grandmother), but after some underhanded behavior by my Dad and a woman he married about 10 years ago, I said it's time I got started. The CJ-5 is a write-off, but still has loads of useful bits on it, so it will be as Dad intended--a parts donor. I want to save its V-6 and cab for a nice CJ-5 that's not rusted out.
CJ-3 is a mess. I t was heavily lifted, the rear axle's diff was welded, and some gaudy accessories were added. He added bucket seats that don't even have seatbelts! I even suspect the tailgate was removed and replaced with a welded-in piece of sheet steel. `Most of the original bits are in an outbuilding and the body of a 1950s Hackney milk truck, so I don't have to go searching for new ones.
I'm not very knowledgeable, but a neighbor of mine is a Jeep nut and is currently working on a CJ-5. And, I read the Haynes guide a few times since I bought it 5 years ago and the project was on the backburner due to issues in "who owns the darn thing.
First of all, I plan to just change the gas, change all the fluids, air up the tires, and get a new battery; as well as making sure the brakes are good. The next stage will be replacing the modified rear axle with the unmolested Dana 44 from the CJ-5. Removing other mods and trying to take it back closer to stock is for when I have a bit more income. I plan to go KISS and have lockers, but all mechanical. The end project is a go-anywhere farm work vehicle. It's also got a period correct mechanical Warn winch up front that runs off the PTO.
Another thing I'm doing is buying back the F-250 my Granddad bought new in '88 from this same neighbor (who bought it from my Dad; whom my Granddad sold the F-250 to in 2000 when he bought the '98 RAM I now drive). It's being built out as a workhorse also.

I had the jeep bug for a long time but I'm going to sell my last 2 cj5's soon, just no time for them.
