Ken any luck with CCI? I find the REM golden to be dirty lots of spit back
it's been a number of years since I tried anything different but the golden bullets. I just installed a new recoil spring so I may need to try other options.

Nice, Smitty!
4-liner Teardrop, 3 5/8" and nice bone scales. Half-stops on the spear and pen, swedged and some sharpening marks but nice patina.

This one is a Detective Special in 38sp.
I used to have a Pocket Positive in "32 Colt New Police" (32 S&W long) . I gave it to a (ex)friend who proptly sold it to a pawn shop.

Everybody carrying some beauties today!!

Was rainy with thunderboomers here today. So I just hung around the house and straightened up my shop. Decided to give the old Ulster 98 some pocket time.

I have seen a LOT of Stockmans with the "PROPERTY OF US GOVT" mark, but not an Ulster 98. Wonder what they were issued for?

Most were available to Support Depots where you had Military and Civil Service workers. There were several knives and other tools that were listed in the GSA Supply Catalog that were stocked and could be signed out by workers if it were deemed as a necessary tool for that particular shop. Back in the 1960's and through the 1970's most of the tools and knives were either stamped or etched such as this knife. They were an accountable item and you had to turn them back in if you changed shops or retired. After these tools and knives are deemed non serviceable or beyond a utilization date, they are turned in and sent to a Defense Re-utilization Marketing Center where the items will be slated to be either sold off for scrap or put up for auction. Hence where a lot of the old Army Navy Surplus Stores used to get some of their items.
