Dale products Japan. Ebay sellers picture. cleaned up great and I scrubbed the pouch and put it in a pants pocket to wash.

Here are a few oddball electrician's knives

I-XL George Wostenholm, WWII, 1944 with the broad-arrow John Watts, Sheffield, England, stainless steel handles, nickel silver liner A.W. Wadsworth, Scout Tool, Germany/D.R.G.M.

I added a new electricians knife to my list today. I don’t think it was a military issue. Goins does not have a lot of information on this company, his list in total is:
“Royal Brand USA c 1914-1954.”

Though not a TL-29, here is an electrician's knife that I picked up on ebay this morning. Kaufman K55. I don't know a thing about it but did find it interesting.

I have been looking for a Sword Brand TL-29 for quite some time. I finally got one today on eBay.
The spear blade is stamped Sword Brand on the mark side and on the pile side has the four-line Camillus stamp.

Since I just won the auction tonight will have to be content with the sellers pictures until the knife gets here.
When the Sword Brand TL-29 gets here I will also take pictures of another recent Sword Brand acquisition; when I purchased it I thought I was getting a Sword Brand TL-29 but when the knife arrived the spear blade is etched RADIO KNIFE. They appeared to be very near the same knife, at least from the picture of the one I just want on eBay. It will be interesting to see the two knives side by side and see if there is a difference.

Posted this one in another thread but thought I'd put it here as well. An Imperial electrician's knife that had one shell handle missing when I bought it in a bag of 12 parts knives for $3. Made the handles from white plastic(maybe Plexiglas).

I picked up over the weekend. Wood handles still in decent shape and you can still read the engraving on the blades.

Here's another old Klein I did some cleanup work on. A coworker, knowing my liking and appreciation of an old user, gifted this to me on his last day prior to retiring. He says his Dad and/or Grandpa used to use this when they worked for the railroad. Here are some before and after shots. Several hours of hand sanding and a little flitz cleaner and renaissance wax and voila!

Got me looking thru a pile here. Here’s a few haven’t shown on here yet. Top 2 are 4 line Camillus . The bone one is the only bone Electrician knife I have . The 2 Ulsters are pre WW1 , One of them is from a 1916 Signal Corp Inspector kit . Both the Ulster locks are released by pushing down on the main blade while closed thus unlocking Screwdriver type blade .

And a Pal . Not sure when this was made. It’s about 1/2 inch shorter than the Camillus and doubt it’s a TL 29 as it doesn’t fit the government specs for the TL 29 .

Scored this Kutmaster yesterday. Gorgeous wood scales IMO and took a wicked edge.

Wostenholm Wireless Knife

You see a TON of the MOD issued one-blade screwdriver-only knives" but the civilian two blades are rare. Got this one in a lot of three decent Wostenholm knives for $25.

Snaps like a gator, really well made, and the thickest screwdriver I have ever seen.


And I use this one. The file is really handy when I don't see need for one of my Leatherman tools.


Handles are "vulcanized fiber". I have no idea of age, but found this old ad online.

Here is an older pre-1940 knife marked DASCO but looks to me to be a Schrade contact knife (as most DASCO pocketknives were).

This one has the screwdriver lock normally only seen on the smaller, slimmer, versions - instead of the liner lock, this one has the lockback on the screwdriver, released by pressing down on the back of the spear blade.

This is the only full-size electrician that I have ever seen made like this, either by Schrade or by anyone else.

Found this RIC-NOR, BOSTON, USA , TL-29 today. Ric-Nor is/was an electrical supply company who (they say) had them made by Providence Cutlery.
I'm not a great fan of TL-29's or plastic handles but this one caught my eye. The handle is a swirled celluloid or Bakelite and is ribbed on it's edges. Blades a little stained but otherwise good. Walks and talks. J.O'.
