That company had quite a prestigious history and were tasked to re-design the Great Seal of the United States, as well as designing and manufacturing several military medals including the Congressional Medal of Honor, the Bronze and Silver Stars, and the Purple Heart.

Looks pretty neat to me Dimitri!! Does the blade come out a little further? I have a couple brass Eagle gravity type knives the blade slide out like that? I don’t ever remember posting them but I believe they are something like a quill knife? I’m like you, I like yours because it’s different

The blade is extended and retracted by turning the top part just like a lipstick container.

Knife screams 1880 or so but with cockspurr on there could be 1812-1820 I had a unwinn once that was pre 1827.

Yes pressed horn Handles. In the London knife book. Ron Flook says he knows of one folding bowie they made . Guess there are 2 now

Nice example, but it appears to have cut horn and not pressed horn handles.
Here are two similar examples with cut horn on the left and pressed horn on the right.
You can see how much sharper the edges are on the cut horn handle as compared to the softer rounded edges of the pressed horn handle.
