Look at this tang stamp chart, I believe your knife matches the 1945-48 era.

Queen decided to run their shows in odd years because the Case Collectors Club ran its shows in even years. Queen began offering Show Knives in limited quantities and this continued every other year with each Queen Show. Pretty little Queen! I've been gifted several tiny toothpicks made by Case over the years and they are just too little to be useful. Love the beauty and functionality of these little jewels but.....

100% agree on the relative uselessness of the size, Philip. Although I knew it was only 3" when I bought it, I was still a bit shocked at just how tiny it actually is in hand It looks so much bigger in pictures! But like most my knives, it's destined to remain a safe queen, never to be used, since the reason I bought it was for its uniqueness as a collector piece--specifically the double shield.
Do you (or anyone else) happen to know the Queen pattern number for this little guy? I want to say #14, but every time I think of that number all I can picture is a Case Peanut. I know the large toothpick is #20, and I thought Queen made a medium size toothpick too (don't know where I got that idea; probably just wishful thinking).

A list of later pattern Queens says that #16 is the mini-toothpick.
That little S&M #16 sure looks good cuddled up to that big one!

Wow I apparently suck at taking macro pics. That first one is way outa focus. And the angle makes the blades look too short, which they are not. Sorry guys.

Recently added this #11 Slimline Trapper to my ACSB pile. I am especially pleased with the fit and finish of this knife; the runup is about the best I have ever seen on a Queen.

This was my great grandfather’s knife. My dad gave it to me this summer when he found it while cleaning the basement of the farmhouse. It was in rough shape but I’ve slowly been working on getting it cleaned up. Still have a way to go but today I felt I was far enough along to toss her in the pocket.

If I am correct in my research it is an #28 English Jack 1922-1932? It’s 4-1/2 inches closed.

The "QUEEN CITY" block letter stamp was used approximately from 1922-1942. But you may be able to narrow the year down to a closer date if you can find what years that pattern was available.

I’ve been remiss in looking at this thread for a while. Glad you like the folding hunter and the Doctor’s knife. Wendell Carson did some of the finest work I’ve ever seen. Both knives are beautiful.
