The Hawkbill and Timber Scribe are a couple of pieces that was lacking in the Collection.

Great pick up with that one J P. Short lines are always special, especially when they are in that good of condition.

Posted this elsewhere, but I thought it relevant to post here.There’s a little discussion about Camillus and Sears’ Wilbert brand . Here’s what I found:

All are Camillus made “roosters”(flat bladed, modified secondary and unusual 2/2 stop on the pruning blade). All have identical pin placement, frames , shields ( except the one with the distinctive Camillus shield), and the unusually thick liners.
From the top:

Pick bone- Wilbert
Pick bone -Wilbert
Jigged bone - A Fields
Black composition-A Fields
Jigged bone- ( practically identical to Camillus below)-
Cutsure K&B Hardware Cincinnati Ohio
Jigged bone- Camillus
Pick bone- Camillus
Pick bone- Camillus
Black composition- Camillus

I bragged on these elsewhere Lyle but they deserve a 2nd Wow. Always love seeing your knives. Thank you.

I found it interesting that the Camillus 1916 marking ( per Goins) is on the last pick bone shown. This tells me this pattern was made as early as 1916, maybe not this knife, but the blades are unique to this pattern.

Thanks. Supposed to be 1/2 stops on the the pruning blade, not 2/2 stops.

JohnR, that is definitely a very sweet knife.

I got this one in today. It was a cheapie, but in good shape. A Camillus four line tang stamp No.10 barlow. The handles have been replaced, but that doesn't bother me much. It has the four line "CAMILLUS CUTLERY CO CAMILLUS NY USA" tang stamp on the master clip blade. Both blades have good snap, with no looseness or wobble. Overall the knife and blade wells are clean. The blades do have some spots and scratches, with just a couple of tiny pits. The handles (which have been replaced) appear to be a solid black composition. It's not Delrin or Plastic, and it doesn't look like a Camco handle pattern. It has solid bolsters and The liners are steel not brass. It will make a good addition to my Camillus and EDC rotation group. I've not done anything to the knife other than oil the joints. I might do a little polishing on the blades. Here are some photos. Raining all day here so indoor shots & fluorescent lights. Sorry.

Received this one today. A Camillus 4 line tang stamp, Large Swell end Jack, with Jumbo Shield. It has Tip bolsters on the rear, with standard style bolsters on the front. It has metal liners with a brass blade well separator. It has black composite handles and is 4-3/8 inch closed. The knife has been cleaned, but not a good job. The blade wells are dirty inside, seems to have lint / dirt / grime buildup and blades although having snap are sluggish and feel gritty when opening. The blades are for the most part full and tang stamp is clear. No wobble, and handles are tight with just a minimum of shrinkage. I've already started doing the usual warm mineral oil bath, exercising the blades and a lot of black oil coming from between the springs and blades. Will let it soak overnight and do some cleaning tomorrow. From what I've been able to research, this one is pre 1940. Some of the other knife forums consensus is around 1938. From what I've found, this pattern with the Jumbo shield also came with colorful celluloid handles, and there was also one with Kent tang stamps and Kent on the shield. It's been raining today, so inside photos and my skills suck. But here are some photos.
