i got that knife off the bay the seller had it listed as made in 1930 i thought that it looked cool so i got it and now i cant find any info on it it looks to be older than the 30s

Goins shows G C I C NEW YORK but nothing else.

what i found was that they was a international media and marketing solutions company in 1923 the gannett co inc

It just doesn't seem likely that they would make/import pocket knives being that they are a newspaper conglomerate. I think your GCI is something else.

I found a listing in Goins for "German Cutlery Importing Co." c. 1914-1918. This importer was at 47 West 34th St., New York City. They were incorporated in 1914, with capital stock of $5000. They went bankrupt in April, 1918.

This, to me is more logical than Gannett.

ya that sounds more like it as the knife looks to me like it fits that time period

This is a massive old Schrade Cut. Co., 4 1/4" long closed

Aside from a chip out of the master it is in real good condition

I used to run a modified Vincent in the old Zoar valley hill climbs back in the late 60's. One heck of a ride Man!! Thank you for posting the pic. I can feel it,smell it.

here is one i picked up at a yard sale its wore pretty good but still a good old knife the only thing i cam make out on the tang is the e at the end of case not sure if its a tested or earlier

Scott, that handle pattern is called Fudge Drizzle (now who the devil told me that). I picked up it's brudder at the flea market a couple of weeks ago. Even though I'm not much on shell knives, I'm fascinated with this one. The guy almost begged me to take it for two bucks. That was a good flea market. I'm thinkin' I'll be back out there next spring.

A question for paulsvintage: Are the covers attached to the liners with actual threaded screws or is the rivet head made to look like a slotted screw head? I know nothing about Miller Bros. knives but noticed the heads look like screws. Just curious? Treefarmer
