Years ago, an elderly collector/dealer named Mr. Shockley, told me about and promised me this Terrier display case. He made out a card stating that and wrote “$500.00” on it.

All I had to do was arrange a pickup date and drive to his home to get it. But, life intruded, S it often does and I simply never did that.

Mr Shockley died last year and his collection was turned over to Bruce Voyles for auction and that took place at the Pigeon Forge Knife Show last November.

I won the bid at $550.00.

There is a dog’s head logo on the reverse.

Both pen and file are stamped:

Pattern number on the back of the pen is 02/632, which, if on a Robeson, would be 632002, an old pattern, as when they initiated their six digit system about 1903, was the second pattern to receive a number.

It’s pattern number is 105 / 632 in two lines.

That “6” denotes bone stag handles, but they are pearl. Someone put the wrong blade in the knife. I’ve seen that a couple of times from Robeson.

They weren’t making collectible knives back then.

It’s 3 9/16” in length. Not sure that was its intended length, but that’s what it measures.

Both blades are stamped:

The number on the back of the pen blade is 182/622, in two lines.

There is a dog’s head on the back of the master spear and on both sides of the bottom bolsters.

Handles are worm-grooved brown bone. There is a crack at the bottom pin, both sides and another at the rocker pin, front side.

There is a rather hefty Federal shield for a knife this size.

It’s clean in the well.

Blades are both a bit short.

The knife has been cleaned sometime in its past.

This is a rare pattern from Robeson and even more rare as a Terrier.
