My Puukka has a Damascus blade. The handle is composed of Fossilized Ivory, Malachite, and Stabilized Birch.

Solid looking Fighter Garry! You've seen all my daggers so you know I like a good fixed blade with dagger grind, and your knife ticks a lot of those boxes, and it's steeped in history ta boot! Very nice! 8)

That's a strange looking knife John, what is it and what is it specifically used for? It almost looks like a cement trowel! ::shrug:: Thx! 8)

tongueriver, I agree. When it first arrived a few years back, I was struck by what a solid piece of work it was.

New to my pile is this Buck 103 skinner. Judging from the tang stamp, it's a 1972 -1986
I really like the small diameter handle, were all the older buck fixed blades similar sized?

Referring to John's interesting knife, the blade shape is that of the Viking SEAX. This was perhaps the most commonly carried blade among the Vikings. Most fought with spears and axes. Swords were expensive so they were used mostly by the "nobility." But the Seax was the common knife.

Thank you buddy! ::handshake:: That is a great explanation. Garry(Quick Steel)has a further description in his comments, assuming it's your knife he's referring to. ::shrug:: First time I've seen anything like that one! 8)

Took me a long time to find a decent copy that would fit my budget, but I'm really liking it.

These two are hand made, I think. the larger one has a little bit of wave down the blade and the other is made of copper. They both kinda have the same mark, the copper one is punched into the blade, and not sure how the other was done Stamped maybe??one side of the Y is longer

Outstanding display of fine fixers Garry! ::tu:: Is the bowie at the top of the 1st picture that has the brass spine-guard a Gil Hibben? ::shrug:: Looks like his work, that's why I ask! 8)
