Thanks Garry. I bought that in Gatlinburg on our honeymoon in 1980. I paid 60.00. At that time it was the most I ever paid for a knife.

My neice wanted a pair of earrings made from spent shell casings. Think that might be a sign. Seems like it's leaning a little harder than usual towards full on redneck side of the scale. They turned out decent but I wouldn't get them for my wife/daughter/sister. Different face, different taste.
Couple smooth oldies today, believe the bare head Challenge is from the 1920s or teens maybe. The Schrade Cut Co some where between 1917-46. A good knife holds up a long time.

In this part of the country that shaped knife is often carried in one's cowboy boot, hence a boot knife.
