That is rather cool

3" closed is my sweet spot - great to see something a little more dressed up and a standard boys pattern

This is a GEC Tidioute pattern 15 Lick Creek Boy’s Knife. Gunstock Jack’s had a few of these customized by Esynx with cocobolo handles and a stainless crest shield.

I wish they'd make a #14 exactly like that

Thanks for the comments everyone, ludwig the handles are a jigged synthetic, not sure what.

Beauty of a knife John ... but imo and my 2 cents - it is not a boys knife but a Washington Jack as you allude to above - the tip bolster is not commonly seen on boys knives of old though a very few exceptions may exist... again John just my opinion after researching these in-depth 4-5 years ago for the article...

Thanks for the correction Lee, I put it in the boy's knife category because of it's size, was not sure myself if it was considered a boys knife.

A small 2 3/4" Ulster that somehow retained its original chain.

Nice, I can’t get enough of the chains.

Beautiful example. Really great little pocket knife, any boy would have loved that.

A 2 blade, so probably does not technically qualify. But a great solid well made EDC. Would have stood up to any punishment a boy could hand out.

Here's Liberty Knife Co. boy's knife with a stamped steel handle I thought I'd document here before sending it off to a new owner on that big auction site. Goin's states Liberty was in business from 1919 through 1925. It looks like it hasn't been used much, if at all.

Are you sure that’s Liberty? To my old eyes it looks like the stamp is I.K. CO. Which is Imperial Knife Co.

Here's another to make up for misreading the stamp on the last knife I posted. It doesn't have a stamp and isn't in the best shape, but sure is a cute little knife.

Very recently, this pocket knife arrived in a large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did turn out to be a keeper. It is a UNITED, one blade, one tang stamp, 2 3/4" closed, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp reads "UNITED (over) CUTLERY Cᴏ̲ (over) GERMANY" The main handle side says "OUR - BOY" and has an embossed image of a boy. The other handle side also says "OUR - BOY" and has an embossed image of a boy. Per GOINS, UNITED CUTLERY Cᴏ̲ GERMANY, c 1908-1922. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. The main blade has a crisp half stop, also a good opening and closing snap. I gave it a very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Since I am not the sharpest blade on the stockman I only just now discovered this forum. Which is terrible for me really because I am crazy busy with work and school and now here here I am at midnight looking at pics of knives instead of sleeping or doing schoolwork!

A little background story about this pocket knife. I purchased a pocket knife on eBay around the middle of November, 2022. It never ended up in my possession. I contacted the seller, he tracked it down and had it returned to him. The seller re-sent the knife to me, I DID finally receive it, AND the seller included this pocket knife as well (FREE!!). It is a GEO SCHRADE, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/8" closed (not including the ring or loop), pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp is the curved or arched style and says, "GEO SCHRADE (over) PAT APD FOR" The main handle side says, "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" and has graphics of the wolf and the three little pigs. The other handle side also says, "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" and has graphics of the wolf and the three little pigs. This pocket knife has a VERY crisp half stop and a WICKED opening and closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. I just cleaned up the blade a bit. I took some pictures and here it is.
