Got this early Buck 121 from "Dale in the Mail" today. Slender thin flex blade. Can't decide whether to put it in the kitchen or not. Such a great blade. My collection of 121s is getting pretty complete. need a flint chip variation.

Got this Ivelin Ivanov in the mail today from Bulgaria. N690Co steel. The swedge area is rhomboid ground. The handle is finished so smooth and slick it will have to be lightly sanded if I am actually going to use it. I will probably give it a couple light strokes and then it will be coonfingering. I can't see taking this one out to the field when I have so many other capable ones for that purpose, including those great Moras!

Not as pretty as many I lives on here but a very functional outdoorsmans knife , I pocket up this old Frost nr3 sweden mora at a market at the weekend, the laminated blade was very rusted , I removed the rust and polished the blade keeping its patina, I sanded and rubbed linseed oil into the birch handle , the sheath was in great condition so just needed cleaning and I cleaned the leather tab and rubbed beeswax into it , the blade sharpened up very easily and extremely sharp after I stropped it

I'm sure it will cone on a few camp trips

Thanks John. First truly custom knife I ever ordered. Disappointing experience. Although the knife is well made the maker changed a key specification [blade length] that we had both agreed to verbally and in writing.

Cool bowie Garry!

It's just a shame they changed the rules on you mid-game. It still looks great, but not what your mind's-eye saw I guess. What is that handle material?

Some great looking knives being shown. That custom of Quick Steel's is a real beauty.
And guarddogg's Anza looks like a great field knife.
Here is my latest fixed blade. It is a Bark River Quartermaster EDC with Elk Horn handle.

Thanks for your comment Gary. Your knife and sheath are obviously prepared for a lot of first class performance. A very classy looking combo.

Gary, I love seeing Al Mar's in any iteration. I've lost track of them since they moved manufacturing to China.
