Is there a connection between your name and the knife?
Yes, I couldn’t find an old English style Bowie that was affordable, so I made one last year. I take it camping with me :)
Oh, my! 8) ::tu:: Great job!

Nevertheless tongueriver, should you decide you do not care for it, I can be of assistance. The simple, clean, lines of this classic pattern never lose their appeal. ::tu::

I will keep that in mind. :) It seems to be itching to touch a freezer whitetail soon. I will try to accommodate it if the stars align.

A Gryphon and a Gerber. Although not a collector of boot knives, I am proud to have acquired these two. The Gryphon was designed by Bob Teruzola and well constructed using VG10. About 15 years with me.
The Gerber was made before the takeover by Fiskars and at that point in time still had the fine Gerber quality.

Thanks for showing those boot knives. Daggers are an interesting group, from the diminuitive Scottish skein dhus (spelling  ) on up to the serious trench knife, the M-3. I don't own any except two M-3s. An original somewhat rare1943 Aerial and a reproduction by Boker. The Boker is a remarkably excellent piece of work. I don't know where it was made.

I have the Boker reproduction. Ordered by AG Russell, it was made in China but like all of AG's imports was made to the highest standards.

Thanks Floyd. No need for boots. :) They can be easily carried on pants, belt, or pocket. (where legal of course)

I also had a China made M-3 as well as one made in the USA by OKC. the fit & finish on the China made knife was far better than the OKC.

Well, Ken, that is disappointing to hear :(

I suppose this is about the most basic of fixed blades. I've never cared for the balance on the KA-Bar.

This Buck 5" fixed blade special edition (#1102 of 7600 made) called "Spirit of '76" has been languishing inside the wooden display box in which it was packed to ship/display for 45 years... and needed a good home.

I found it a month or so ago from Perry Knifeworks

Best $49 I ever spent (except for that time in Tijuana in 1970) :)

Found this at Midway USA on sale a few months ago

Boker Arbolito with Stag handle 7.5" OAL, 3.5" Blade. Made in Argentina.

The piece of leather sewn in the sheath... Which essentially retains the knife using finger guard, is pure genius

Well done Boker !
