Cool deer and rabbits! I agree with the comments about fried venison and rabbit! Mighty good eating with biscuits and gravy.

Precious told me years ago that she'd cook anything I brought in as long as it didn't look like a carcass when it came in the house. So I do the butchering outside.

Now if I went on a hunt and brought it in and dressed it she would cook it, but these are yard bunnies you do not touch yard bunnies, now tree rats and chipmunks are another story you can kill them to your hearts content cause they bother her flowers.

My middle boy Parker suiting up to look at the honey bees. This is the cage that the queen was in that new colony of bees I bought. They'd already released her and she's laying. So we took out the queen cage, cut off the comb they'd build around it, and chewed the honey comb. Not much flavor in it, but he thought it was cool.

Sorry no pic, must read what my grandson Peyton said last night.

We watched a couple fishing vids on YT and the anglers were in a bass boat I told him.
We need one of those for Poppy he said to me. Yes we do buddy!

When he got home he asked, "Mommy, how much are bass boats?" (He's 7)
I don't know, but I'm sure they're pretty expensive (we're talking like Ranger, Nitro, Triton, bass boats, btw), says Mom.

Peyton sets out to find out how much a bass boat IS and allegedly finds one for $197.00!
I want to buy this bass boat for Poppy, it's only $197.00, and I have more than that in the bank!

I'm holding off the tears...........

Great stuff Neighbor and Scott, yawl are making some great memories for these youn'uns and yourselves. Yawl are raising up some fine young'uns,more power to you.

Had the grandsons for a couple hours this afternoon.....Had no idea what to do because it was raining.....oh heck, just head to the park I thought, I can't keep these boys and myself cooped up in this little condo.....

Had no clue what would happen but went for a walk and scored some pine burls, then put up a tarp inside a shelter, and made shavings...

Worked out perfectly!!

Scott,great how you take the boys outdoors ....but as I can see in the last pic that is a very unsafe situation,boy should hold the stick to the side away from his legs and belly where the big veins are.Gus.

Just read that should you discover a tick has attached itself to you or to anybody else simply place some Vicks Vapor Rub on top of it. It will quickly release itself. No risk of leaving anything broken off or stuck in the skin. This, or other remedies may be old news to some of you, but it is new to me.

And to me! Thanks for the info sir! I recently watched a video where a tick removed itself after having peppermint oil dropped on it.
I now carry that in my first aid kit!

Nice view Unk. Hog hunting is on my bucket list. Not many opportunities for that locally.
