Mornin', Paul and QS!
Going with a Remington R44 today. All steel (except for the saw cut bone

), half-stops on both blades, swedged clip on this model and very pocket friendly. I don't think this one has ever been sharpened and the factory edge cuts Mandarin skins with ease.
Yours looks great. Mine looks like trash.

Yours is just "broken in" better. You know, like a new car.

Thank you sir. I agree that he had good taste. And fortunately he choose Fredrich Olbertz to produce them. Here is the etch:

Hi guys, sorry not been around as much recently, been busy with decorating and working extra hours due to a large vets bill as my lovely dog soul is having a large lump removed next monday

we had to find £1200 so been hard but he needs this operation, anyway hopefully I'll be around a bit more, I took 2 of my daughters and Soul camping last weekend so I did a bit of carving, another luckyfatman, I picked up this large RR as I knew it was similar size to the case #75 , sadly although the blade edge is under 3inches from the bolster to the tip is more than 3inches and I feel that's where the police would measure from so for me it's too big, glad I tried the RR first

Nice to see the carving, good show. Sorry about the dog, good luck with the surgery, and glad you're able and camping out. Wondering how often the police there would stop you or demand to see a pocket knife and measure to see if it's legal? Around here they never ask me about what's in my pockets on the rare occasion I am pulled over or interact with cops. And we have open carry law for fixed blades and firearms. I see people occasionally carry fixed blades that look like 5-6 inch or more so I doubt the police would be that hawkish on a folder like yours. Just curious how the Bobbies would even know you had it on you?
Tbh I've never been stopped in over 40yrs of carrying, I think being over 50 helps as well

but if I ever was I would rather a smaller blade, I carry a cade 6220 and 6344 a lot in leather slips on my keys , much more concealed and a size knife I use regularly, my limit is a senior stockman

Excellent choices, QS!
Totin' a R4593 Muskrat today. Very ingenious design and way more to it than you might think. Both blades ride on a huge back spring, bits in place for smooth operation and to avoid blade overlap, pretty sweet jigged bone (they may call it stag

). One of my reference books says any reputable collection should have a Remington Muskrat. Not sure how reputable my collection is, but this is a great knife to have.

I do like that one! Muskrats have always intrigued me and I have been using the same Old Timer for years as a special clean up knife when processing venison.
That is a beauty!

redrider, you have an impressive knife there. This is the first Muskrat that really appeals to me, though admittedly I am fairly disreputable myself.
