I believe these new J.D.C knives were commissioned by Jim Parker. They are modern reproductions. Maybe from the late 80's?

For those of you that read KNIFE WORLD MAGAZINE, you will recognize this knife. Made by F.A. Black who was part of the LaBelle company then moved to PA. I have had this on my find list for 18 years. I now own the exact knife that was pictured in the late John Goins book as well. It was sold to me by the fella that photographed it for John. I am very proud, but my wallet is much lighter and wanted my friends here to see it. A very rare find.

I have also included a pic of the Supplee, which was made by BLACK as well for the Supplee Hardware company of Phila. They made one with an "R" for Rogers too. For those that want more detailed info, read KW and contact me, as I have some catalogs pics that show these knives too.

WOW!! Those are great. I thought I was being patient trying to find a book for three years.

I was very excited this morning to find a bit of information about a knife I have had a while. It is marked Sterling L.G.H. Co. I could find no info on it. I even posted it on Levine's page over a year ago. He didn't know really what it stood for.

I was looking at old Catalog pages that had been posted on the other forum. Low and Behold.. there was my answer. L.G.H. Co stand for Logan-Gregg Hardware Co., "Pittsburg" PA.

It might not be PA made but I had a "PA related" knife in my collection for over a year and didn't even know it!

Not knives, but certainly PA related cutlery. I bought the UNION RAZOR TIDIOUTE box from eBay last week. Couldn't wait to get it home. Paid a little more than I would have liked but it is awesome when full of vintage razors. Here's the list

One has to jump sometimes to get an item like that. I really like the purple velour I've noticed many vintage boxes and knife rolls with purple linings, pretty neat for sure, looks like in swell condition to boot BH

MIKE MIKE MIKE, I don't have a problem with that one at all. If you want to buy a counterfiet Union Razor, gosh thats your choice. Pretty bone though. Hope you got a good deal.

Today for your viewing pleasure is a BIDDLE Hardware GERMANY in pearl. Biddle was a large hardware house in Philadelphia and was also associated with the SUPPLEE company too. You will find items marked SUPPLEE/BIDDLE PHILA I also have a knife just stamped SUPPLEE that was posted back in the info about the BLACK company that made them. This fills a hole that has long been void in my collection. I no longer need to bug several members about letting theirs go to me Not made in PA, but certainly a PA related knife. Not a bad picture if I say so my self
