Thanks guys. Here's an old ULSTER DWIGHT DIVINE & SONS congress. 3 9/16" closed. Has pattern number 0299 on back tang.

Barry, your last pearl whittler and this Dwight Divine are beautiful knives.
It's nice to look at them.

Here's another Pearl whittler. 3 1/8" closed, double nail nick master blade with the remnants of Ulster Brand etch. Has EP engraved on the shield.

Sweet little sleaveboard whittler. Great looking spear.

Barry, thanks for showing us these very fine knives. It serves to remind me of the quality that can be aspired to. I too often have spent repeatedly on lesser examples rather than waiting for one that was in truly pristine condition, like the knives you are posting.
Your knives are an encouragement to 'aim high' and get the best examples for our collection. I collected for years before i even knew that old knives in perfect condition actually existed.

Very nice whittler with the pearl scales! I would also like to comment on your photo skills. I especially like the top view showing the blade alignment. Excellent job on finding a knife in that condition also. Terry

A pair of Ulster advertising knives...both embossed ULSTER QUALITY on front handle. The lobster marked SUPPLEE-BIDDLE (a hardware wholesaler- retailer) was possibly blade etched at one time. I've had the same knife with masonic advertising on the back. The other with COMPLIMENTS J.W.DOUGLAS was likely a salesman's give away. Etched SQUARE DEAL....Yes my pix were borrowed by Charlie C. early in this thread.

I see you are still posting beautiful knives Barry. I've posted this before ,but I'd like to show it again ,for those who haven't seen or forgotten.I wonder how many blades were stamped like that last one.

You can see me and Jerry look silly too.I did about the same thing in regard to a post by Mason more recently,I read common and he wrote uncommon.

Just finished going through this whole thread. Lot's of great knives posted by a lot of different members over the years! Lately, 1fartsmella has been knocking this thread out of the park fairly regularly, galvanic 1882 as well, over the last couple of years.
This is my only Ulster. Dwight Divine and Son's USA on the main blade, with not Ulster. Had not seen another stamp exactly like this until today. Galvanic1882 posted a doctor's knife with this stamp back in May 2009 (actually not sure if his has the USA, would be hidden by the bolster if it is there). I posted this one before I bought it, Dimitri warned me off it, but being stubborn at the time, I bought it anyway?

Here is an Ulster whittler that has the tang stamp Dwight/Devine & Sons/U.S.A. on the master blade with Ulster/Knife Co./N.Y. on both of the secondaries. This knife has obviously been cleaned extensively, however, I do believe that it is all original. It's 3 5/8" closed. I have seen numerous Ulsters with the Dwight Devine & Sons stamp on the master, however, almost all of them have been scout knives:

Just my personal opinion here, but this thread has some of the most appealing knives to be found anywhere on AAPK.
