Correct, not many as I said and your research shows. Here is the Canadian Military knife I believe you are referencing. Only made in 1949' and 1950 as I recall. There is also the CASE M100 Push Button slide out from around the 1920's. Pretty scarce stamp on that one. Will post pics of mine later.

Rummaging around in my pile and found this one I'd forgotten I have. Well used and not nearly as nice as the one JerryA showed a while back, but here it is anyway.

Metal knives are what kickstarted me in to this madness that we share.

Here are three Sheffield made with with metal handles plus advertising.

First of these three is one by Rodgers, Cutler to His Majesty, also with promo's for Pinchin Johnson & Co.
Then a Wade & Butcher which promotes Pinchin Johnson products.
Last out is a Southern & Richardson with Swedish advertising for British (?) products from Reckitt, Brasso and Zebra.

Hello, Picked this knife up and I dont know if its a Stan Shaw or not. Any and All Help is appreciative!!
Just my thoughts on this knife, as follows. I have seen a few similar to my knife and they were made by Stan Shaw. All of them that I have seen though are Stamped on the inside liners "SS-" and some numbers or letters. Mine is "S-3C" and there could be another "S" that was very lightly stamped next to it,,Hard to tell. I got the best pics I could get. Stamped on the tang of master is G. Ibberson & Co with the Violin. Etched out on the blades are "Marshalls Union Street, Glasgow and on back says "Firth Stainless Throughout". I recall just seeing one recently on ebay that was stamped EO-51 for Edward Osborne. Maybe this knife was an Early Stan Shaw while he was an apprentice for Osborne?? Thanks Guys

One blade marked MER Rostfrei Solingen.

Here are a few other British ones I have.

First out a Joseph Rodgers, Sheffield which I got in the mail the other day. A rather strange one but I just couldn´t pass up on it. It has a knife blade on the section between the joint and the can opener so it may be classified as a folding knife I think?
It has been produced from early 60´s to this day and can be bought new from J Rodgers.
Then an old Rawson Brothers, Sheffield. Two blades, bottle opener, cork screw and a pipe tool I guess.
Then a Singleton & Pressman, Sheffield which can be used as a knife and fork. Fairly old I would guess.
And lastly, a Richards with three blades and a can opener.

Two more metal knives came in today, both Sheffield made.

One is a Richards Lamp Post key knife in fairly good nick and the other one is a Chesterman ruler knife with blades made by Joseph Westby.
The ruler knife is marked "The Beldam Packing & Rubber Co Ld London".

Nice little knives!

Hard to tell from the pictures but I am pretty sure the handles on that one is either bakelite or celluloid.

I may be mistaken, I know all the ones I looked up were bakelite, celluloid or pearl. I'll double check and update but as you know in the knife world nothing's written in stone.

When I saw that picture I cringed! I had a similar knife marked G. Ibberson and the back spring was snapped in half by opening both blades at the same time. PLEASE refrain from doing that unless you want it to happen to yours!
