Works for me!

Old Grand-Dad Gold Label ain't bad either.

Wild Turkey 101 for me. I like espresso and Tabasco sauce, so WT101 is right in line with my "go big or go home" preferences. I'm also a cheapskate, so I'm not much motivated to pay an arm and leg differences that I can't really taste or appreciate. Sort of like my tastes in knives. I "get" the beauty of a Tony Bose but I'm not spending my money on one when an old Schrade or cheap Opinel is enough for me.
Today's carry (back up with the big black Opinel #10)...

I'm a regular coffee guy but I like it smooth and strong. WT 101 is fine by me and I'll use just about any kind of hot sauce.....I've got a cabinet full of about 25 different kinds......some of them need to be used with extreme caution!

The cigars I smoke are usually inexpensive unless it's a special occasion. I tend to spend too much money on knives but .......it's a personal flaw. My collection is for my pleasure while I'm still kickin' and an investment for my sons when I buy my little piece of the farm. The knives I carry on a regular basis are usually tried and true, worth every penny I paid for them and many of them didn't cost a whole lot. We seem to have similar taste because this is one that I carry often, I removed the thumb stud because it got in the way of sharpening.

Very nice one Stancaiman, love the lines and the grind. Just so happens I have been carrying one too for the last couple of days. Here's some pics of it when it was new - it has picked up a lot of patina since then, as the blade is 2.2mm D2:
Along with that, left front pocket is a bit of nostalgia - my grandpa's old Joseph Rogers. I attach a lot of sentimental value to the old knife, but I do take it out for an airing every so often, and work it very gently, much as you would an old gun dog...
(The top one in these pics - the other one is a single Jack I made for a friend)
Could you post a few more pics of your knife please? Blade half way open and closed too?

Thanks IM, if I am not mistaken, you did post that one fairly recently? I seem to think I recognize it now - gorgeous piece of work that, MM did a fine job and you can be right proud of it!

Yeah, Thanks Smoke - I try to find a weak excuse to post that knife every month or so......

.
Its my main EDC and MM was able to put all of the mods I asked for on it. Maybe one of the best
balances of form and function there is in a 3.5" folder, at least for me anyway. The Liner-Lock he built
is sweet.....I sure wish that GEC would build some of the smaller models with an LL available, the #66
Serp Jack would be a prime choice for it.

No "weak excuse" needed - that knife is sweet enough in it's own right that I for one don't mind seeing it often.

It being the weekend (but I'm just about to go to bed) so I've had this Rough Rider Half Whittler (really more like a Pen knife) in my pocket.

That's a perfect knife. You can't thump a fish with it, though. I hope you catch a good tide today.

When I loaded up for work this morning (and as productive as this day was I should have just stayed home!) I put this IXL George Wosteholm Sheffield in my pocket:
My pretty much Always Red handled Imperial USA Scout took leftpocket:

Nice knife Gino! What size?
Dave, that Imperial.....I can see it is much loved and much used and it carries a lot of honest scars...I think if you re-scaled that it would really be something!

Great knives, guys!
I normally prefer tactical knives, but this Craftsman swell-center stockman has been finding its way into my pocket quite a bit lately. I think it was made in the 50s or 60s by Schrade.

It's a great knife Dave. Really feels good in the hand. Right now I'm carrying a Schrade 863, that Rocky gave me. Love it.
Your knife was very likely made in the '40s or '50s by Ulster, one of the Schrade/Imperial brands. It's a clone of the Camillus #72 Carpenter's and Whittlers pattern. While very similar to the Camillus, the Ulster and Schrade knives (who also made this pattern) have that oblong shield with the pointed ends and the handle pins are placed closer to the bolsters.
Edit: I almost forgot, the Camillus knives have match strike pulls and the Schrade & Ulsters don't. Plus, the secondary clip blade, used in the Camillus made knives, has a slightly different profile.
Here are some examples.

@IMBand: Wow, the EO mods are stunning.
@JustPlainDave: The Sheffield is pretty but the Camillus moves me more. Just straight up companion.
Raining today in Boston. More Willie Nelson and Kristofferson and less Ralph Stanley sort of day. Wearing jeans and carrying something bigger for no good reason.

The Opinel #10 continues to impress me. Carried it on Saturday for a long day of brush clearing on the property. Goes through small branches and saplings in a flash. Sometimes bigger *is* better. Carries light and almost unnoticeable in the pocket. Works like a Buck 110 but doesn't carry like one. And that's a good thing.
