Yesterday’s purchase. ‘19 Sawcut Honeycomb Bone Barlow. Had a tough time deciding between this one and a Dark Red Bone Swayback. The Limited Edition Barlow won. I absolutely LOVE anything with a saw cut handle!

Almost better than a Remington. 6318's are one of my favorite patterns.

Arrived today. Good and solid. I'm impressed. Positive half-stops on both blades and my favorite, loud snap.

My dad just passed his knife collection down to me. So I am new to knife collecting and don’t know much about it. I was recently told this Case Bros Little Valley NY was a fake and I don’t know enough to argue that point. So I’d appreciate everyone’s thoughts on it.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm a Remington guy but this is probably the nicest knife i've ever seen.

Witcher's book on Counterfeit Cutlery has a stamp with the same format as yours, which is a good sign. For information we will need an exact closed length of the knife. Also, is there anything stamped on the back of the tang?
Can't figure out what those weird lines on the blade are, probably some one will come along with the answer to that.
Can't remember ever seeing that handle material on an old Case, but it does look old.

The exact closed length is 3 3/16”. And there is nothing else stamped on the tang or on the knife anywhere. Very disappointing if this is indeed a counterfeit.

I actually have another knife with the exact same situation. It’s a 2-blade. Case Bros Little Valley NY stamped on the tang and no other markings. It’s closed length is 3 11/16”.

Thanks Tom! There are a lot of people here much smarter than I am. So I’m excited to learn a thing or two. Going to be taking notes.

I just received this little 1981 #278 executive pen with imitation tortoise shell handles. The blades look essentially unused, but the handles look like it has been bouncing around in the back of a drawer for many, many years.

Or someone's pocket/purse along with coins, keys, ChapStick, etc.

Yesterday’s purchase. ‘19 Sawcut Honeycomb Bone Barlow. Had a tough time deciding between this one and a Dark Red Bone Swayback. The Limited Edition Barlow won. I absolutely LOVE anything with a saw cut handle!
Beautiful knife, chaysons, and a fine photograph. But what really hit me was that old-timey wooden folding rule in the photo. It brought back many memories of my childhood, when I spent many hours playing with my father's. It occurs to me that I haven't seen one in decades.

Thanks! I thought the rule would compliment a vintage knife pattern like the Barlow.
