All these new knives were making me jealous, so I went on a spending spree over the past few months.
Here are a few GECs I snagged
1. #86 Angus Jack in Macassar Ebony, Well Done
2. #87 Coal Oil Johnny in Sucker Rod
3. #23 Liner Lock in Natural Bone
4. #23 Pioneer Trapper in Redtail Jigged Bone.
Beauties Eric! Especially like the Angus Jack and the CRs! Many

Thanks. The Angus Jack is quickly becoming a daily. The CRs make great steak knives.

Fished this old Camillus out of the extreme shallow end of the bay the other day. It has those old shrinky dink handles and they have. But it has a secret, actually 2 of them. #1 it's a very early Moor Man seed company knife and #2 it has the post WW2 no line tang stamp.

That is an awesome pick-up, Mr Floyd, in pretty decent overall condition. Great old stamp and I really like old knives with an agricultural connection. Thanks for showing that classic.
I'm not sure how widely Moor Man's feed were distributed, but it was very common in Illinois. Nearly every farm back in the day, big or small, that raised a few hogs, had a personalized Moor Man's sign. Here is the one that used to hang on my FIL's barn.

Another of my all metal lockbacks from Asia. This one is from China but has no manufacturer or distributor name. It does have the same excellent quality I’ve come to expect. The USPS was late delivering today so it’s an indoor window photo with fading light. It’s 4” closed with a 3” blade of VG-10 shaving sharp stainless.

I ordered this Moore Maker #5109SL in the morning Pacific Time on 10/31 and received a tracking number from MM that same afternoon. The knife hit my mailbox on 11/3 in a hand-addressed kraft envelope. Now that is speedy delivery and customer service!
The scales on this knife are black carbon fiber and white bone providing a nice visual contrast. There is a stainless steel pocket clip on the reverse. The slide lock provides for fast, wrist-flip deployment and solid lockup. There are thumb studs on both sides of the carbon steel blade which like my other MM knives will be protected with PAM cooking spray per MM's suggestion.
This is my 4th or 5th MM and I am pleased with the fit, finish, function, and price point for this one and my other MM knives.

I’m a little slow - just saw one of these Moore Maker 5109SL slide locks listed on evilBay, so I went to the Moore Maker site and found it (cheaper on their site). Interesting looking knife. Says it’s made in USA (as you’d expect from Moore Maker). I’m tempted, especially for that price. The web site says the blade is stainless steel, but doesn’t specify what kind.
What’s your opinion of yours now that you’ve had it for a while (assuming you carry it)? Wonder who is making it for them?
Ken

I'm liking the knife. It's a bit dressier than my usual EDC, so it has its place. The action is smooth and the flip gives it a nice fiddle factor.
I'm pretty sure it is made by Bear & Son.

Thanks. You’re right it is Bear & Son. Interesting the B&S site says D2 and Damascus steel, but the Moore Maker site says stainless. Wonder if that’s a mistake.

I’m going to send an inquiry or call them and ask.
Ken
Edit: I sent an inquiry to Moore Maker, but in reading their web site description of the knife again, I see it says “D2 stainless steel”. IMHO, D2 is not really stainless steel although it is more rust resistant than some carbon steels.

We’ll see what response I get.
