All About Pocket Knives

Thanks Dan, It is a unique piece. The actual number of these made with this blue bone material is hard to pin down but it’s a very small number around 30 or so. Well worth collecting.

And here's another blue one...

I posted this a couple weeks ago in another thread but because it is so unusual I figured it was worth another peek. While I have seen older Goldstone scales this is the only "bluestone" I have ever seen. I don't know what else to call them. Is anyone knowledgeable of the real name for these scales?

I just got this GEC 6" oal slip-joint from Mark at SSk, and it features a sheepsfoot blade, NS hardware, and blued camel bone covers! Nice knife! Wow, it actually looks blue in my pictures!

I've said that 200 times at least. Lied it every time. But good luck with that. Good advice would be to stay away from here and remove the temptation. Can't seem to bring myself to that but I'm sure it helps. Pathetic addicts anonymous.

Nice blue knives. Always like the SAK knives. That blue goldstone is a favorite pattern. That is one of the best looking goldstone knives I’ve seen.
Mark that camel bone just gets better every time I see it.

My sincere apologies, Dog, but personally I quit fighting the addiction long ago, and have been a better and happier man since, so of course I naturally have to show-off my beautiful new knife, with no prior thought whatsoever to how severe the withdrawal symptoms could get for you/them or anyone currently trying to go "cold turkey" and quit this filthy, time-consuming, and boring habit !
Only time will tell if you can MAN-UP and go buy a freakin' knife for yourself, done' worry be happy!
All kidding aside, get one brother, you won't even remember about the money once you're holding it!
Our pal Mark is one serious genius for contracting these knives to be built, BRAVVO to you my friend!

Yep, it caught my eye originally, and as you say, still does every time it's in front of me, and I have little doubt that will change over time, it will always be a gorgeous knife!

I-Man and Madmarco, apparently no matter how I try NOT to get more knives... it is NOT working ... for example, a new Barlow with BLUE camel bone scales

Great shots with that rusty metal, and the blue camel is great. Love the spotty, splotchy, speckles and colors. Sweet score.

Nice topdog, very nice. I don’t see a tang stamp, yet that looks very familiar. Camel bone is always nice no matter the color.

Here's one I missed. It's a sharp little devil & sits on my desk. Gets used once in a great while.

That’s a knife that looks like it could handle all boxes you can throw at it Jerry. Nice color of blue.

Thanks! I suspect it is from Pakistan, from the general construction. but it seems to be fairly well made.

Hey, that's exactly what I would say. I came around to join here and now I'm a fan of the Barlow, the blue camel bone, etc. Of course this is basically due to the addictive nature of this site and collecting and monkey see, monkey do as I have come to realize. Lots of knives out there I didn't even know I liked, or wanted, or had to have and now the list keeps growing.
