Nice group! If I'm not mistaken, the LB7 is actually the rarer LB-8.
I don't recall that Barlow at all. I seem to recall the Scout Stuff catalogs having the Bear BSA items around the time Camillus closed its doors (which was also the time I was a new Scout), and they weren't produced long and all seem to be rather rare. I think the more recent BSA knives have all been Chinese. My own Scout knives at the time were a Case BSA Medium Stockman (carried only when I wore full uniform) and a normal (non BSA) Victorinox Fieldmaster for camp duty (as well as my farm/home EDC around the time).
As I understand, Bear and Son bought the Camillus 72 tooling (along with several others that see more use--like the Bullet Trapper which Moore Maker sells boatloads of) only to use it once--I'd love for a new run of that pattern.

Thanks Cody! I'm pretty sure the Staglon LB7 is pretty rare, as most of them were wood handles. All of the LB8's were Staglon. This is the only Bear Scout that I have seen like this too. It's a well made knife.

Change of pace for Mail Call, a HOK, nasty in need of a good cleaning. Here is a worn Camillus # 91 that was fished out of the mud in the shallow end of the bay. All the blades have great snap, the shield is interesting as well as the pinched bolsters.
- Camillus 91
- Blades have wear, still good enough to carry.

Well Philip, you old mud lurker, that is a sweet little knife. Firs the pocket well. If you use it to skin one of your deer carcass i want pics.

With everything I have posted about what style knife I like, I can say with all honesty that I would buy this knife in a New York minute! I love how streamline it looks with the blade blending cleanly into the body, and the shocking pink color simply suits it, along with the lovely single Wharncliffe blade makes it outstanding, at lease in my eyes.

Very cool knife, Nev, I have one similar but it has a top-lock system, although, much of mine looks much like yours! I don't believe mine is from B & S though, and it's unmarked. No clip or flipper tab either. I guess the overall profile is the only thing that's similar to my knife after all, but I sure do like how the blade blends cleanly into the body when open! Great minds at work here I'm thinking, my friend!

Got this Case Razor knife off eBay last week for $38 + $6 shipping. It is used and had some bad spots in the nickel bolsters(almost like it was around an outgassing knife) but some hand polishing got them cleaned and it has very minimal pitting remaining. I’m super excited about getting it for such a good deal.
