The picture of the south fork McKenzie River below was taken about where the black squiggles are on the map. You can see the cedar creek fire has almost over run it.

Thank you. We're just fine but have friends/co-workers who have been evacuated. Much of lane county has their power turned off to reduce the risk of electrical fires starting during the expected wind storm.

MrsR&T is in the hospital with hypertensive crisis and preclampsia.

This is from our recent sunset drive.
You should have seen all the knives she had to leave in the car to go unto the hospital. I thought I carried lots of knives...

Those are very dangerous conditions, as I'm sure you know. Is she pregnant ??
Thoughts and prayers for her, and you . . .

Yes she is. We don't tend to talk about it much because we aren't able to keep baby so it's a very painful topic. Tried to find a way but it came down to keep baby or have a place to live. We even looked into cheaper housing like boats and RVs but it couldn't work. Baby's name is Seth, he's at 33 weeks so if they have to deliver him soon it's not best but he'll be OK. He's going to a really wonderful couple in Texas who haven't been able to have a baby. The adoptive dad is an orthodox priest so he'll be a pk (preachers kid).
Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you for your prayers.
Viper hug on the blueberries.
Also, mom got to come home and baby is doing well (he'll be in NICU for 2-3 more weeks before the adoptive parents can take him home).
