Beautiful barlow, Zed.. what are those scales made from?... I used to dislike barlows, now they're one of my favorite patterns...

Barlows are one of my favourite patterns , the scales are rosewood

Barlows are one of my favourite patterns , the scales are rosewood

Two Schrades I've not seen before Paul, both very nice! Love the handles on the folder!

Cheers Marco , the folder is the 503 sure-lock it's very comfy in the hand and the button means it's easy to flick open and close , bottom one is a sharpfinger

Thanks for the additional information Paul! I see you're in the U.K., and that being the case are you not burdened with a bunch of ridiculous knife laws just like me here in Canada? I ask because of your comment regarding "flicking" your knife open, and my understanding was that knives like that are prohibited over there, again, just like Canada. Of course, I still buy whatever I like, but am sure to not have a knife on me when I go out, so I simply enjoy my knives at home. Thanks, Mark!

Beautiful Wright's Barlow. I have 2 of theirs, both in Rosewood, yours looks like the wood has some great character and looks classy. I think that they get a bad wrap with their knives, i know they can be hit and miss, but when they get it right they make a great knife, especially for the price. I had 2 made to order for me late last year and they are really well made sturdy work knives, one in stag the other in rosewood, and the rosewood is fantastic, it is a light color that looks like teak, and i really like the stag.
