D.L. ::paranoid:: I have a similar situation with a broken scale.... what are you planning to do? In the past I have just filled in the gap with an epoxy/paint mixture, but the bigger the gap, the less "blended" the epoxy looks .... ::shrug::
I'm not very handy. I'm thinking of contacting one of our bladesmiths.

That looks like a rare one, DLegg! I'm sure you'll make that one live on for many more years!
Thanks Tmk, hopefully we can get it presentable.

Beautiful rdnzl, I like sailors knives and that’s a pretty one.

Got a few in recently. First is a custom made by Allen G. Cates with armadillo hide for scales and Robert Eggerling blued damascus for bolsters. It is used and has a lot of scratches on the blades, so it’s a user for me. Sharpened it up and started using it.
The next one is a Robeson by Queen tiny toothpick with gorgeous black lip pearl. Really colorful and dynamic pearl on this one. Fits right into the smalls display case I have.

The scales are put through a process to permeate the hide and stabilize it so that it doesn’t rot of disintegrate so it should be just fine. Actually they feel good in hand. Seen these before and admired them for some time so when this knife popped up for just 100 dollars I couldn’t’ pass it up.
Thanks for the compliments on the toothpick. I carried one for years in my dress pants at the office. Love toothpicks.

I got me another Hattori Made Kershaw yesterday, from the same collector I got the Trooper from.
This one is a 1035 Moose Hunter. If my research is correct, it was one of Pete's early knives, from the 70s, since it has wood handles.
Starting in the 80s and on, phenolic handles were used like you see on most 1050 folders.
There were 6 fixed blades in this 10X0 series, and I plan to get the other 5 from him in time.

Thanks Tony and Mark.
I like that Hattori. You really are hooked Tony. Hattori’s are doing to you what Moki’s did to me 20 years ago.

I got another RoseCraft knife in the mail today. It's a STAG Savage Creek Gunstock purchased from our own AAPK member at
Corn Creek Cutlery. I have bought several knives from Tony and he is someone you can trust. I got my purchase within 3 days
plus he through in a polishing cloth and to my surprise another knife, a RoseCraft Awanata blade that is 3" closed / 5" overall
and weights in at 2 oz. I highly recommend taking a look at what Tony has in his inventory at Corn Creek Cutlery. Thanks Tony
I'll be back again.
.
These are outstanding pocket knives and this one is "a 2.8″ D2 clip point with a brushed satin finish, heavy swedging, and a half stop.
The covers are Genuine Stag with brushed steel pinched bolsters, steel liners, and nickel silver pins. It’s 3.625″ closed, 6.4″ overall,
and weighs just 3.1oz." (Company description)

Just got the Brother 1516 from Amazon. Very close to perfect, Great snap. I'm tempted to send one to Case so they can see how a pocket knife should be made.

Great pick-ups everyone!

A few of my new additions from the past couple weeks. Got the RoseCraft Vintage Moss Brown Bone Nolichucky Jack from our very own Tony (Corn Creek Cutlery) and it's a beauty. Love the smooth bone handles, cool spear blade, and the fit & finish is amazing. Thanks again Tony. ::handshake::

Great knives, David, that stag looks teriffic! I bet you're just sitting on pins and needles waiting for them to produce something with a lamb's blade!
I have 2 of Tony's models on the way, a Nolichucky Jack and a smoky grey Barlow to add to my already acquired Castorea, Zambezi, and Riverbend Skinner models, along with a couple in their "Vault" I'm waiting to be set free to purchase again.
I can vouch word for word what you say about Tony, it's so nice dealing with people like him cuz you know exactly where you stand with them.
Enjoy your knives!

That's a nice Brother's, Ken, I have about 6 of their models and each is nicer than the last.
I really like the smoky grey covers on yours, they're a nice change from the usual dark material.
