Well guys, I never thought I'd ever say this, but I just might have met my match, this knife is just too big, even for me!
This is a pristine Joseph Rodgers & Sons/No. 6 Norfolk St. Sheffield England/"To Strike Fire"/Barlow slip-joint that measure 11 1/4" open with a 6" handle and 5 1/4" 5mm spear-point blade with a N/N. My measurements exclude the 1" bail.
It has SS fluted bolsters, SS 1/16" liners and SS 5mm spring, along with cross-cut horn covers.
I need a winch to pry it open and should any of my digits be in the line of fire I will surely lose them as it passes the half-stop on the way to it's extremely hard and loud closing.
I have Cold Steel folding weapons that are physically bigger, but when I'm holding this knife it somehow seems even bigger then those!
From the deep-end of the Bay!

EDIT: - It seems I should have read the listing for this knife somewhat better than I did, because upon further research it turns out that the knife is a REPRODUCTION of that STYLE knife, but not the original knife. Due to the excellent condition it's in I was a little suspicious of a couple things, particularly the clean fresh looking stamps along with it's new looking blade. For it to be as old as I originally thought, it would have had to spend it's entire life in someone's sock drawer and perhaps it did, but for that to happen just strikes me as odd. The seller has many legitimate and expensive daggers and armour listed, but they also have a few of these reproduction pieces. The knife is still everything I posted it was, it's simply not an original. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

One can only hope a few Customs agent's filthy phalanges were truncated during the inspection of this folding British broadsword as karmic retribution for all the knives they've confiscated previously. Might cause them to think twice before meddling with your packages in the future.

Lots and lots of good knives today at the gun show. I coulda bought 100 Queens & Schatts if I had the bucks. I did score these 3 Queen bird/trout knives. A stag, a blue smooth bone and a rams horn. He is gonna hold the other 3 for me, wood, honey bone and youth with black bone. These guys came to sell and trade and were doing brisk business.

Ha, ha, ha!
Thanks, ~Q~, I had to scrutinize each word, but I did understand your most colorful description of the Customs procedure, and I really hope you're right!
But, I need you, Dog, Ike, and Tim to please go back and read the EDIT I just posted, there's a new development about that knife.
Thanks just the same for your great comments, guys!

M&M,

... I was curious how the markings/tang stamp looked so clean... as I like tang stamps, I spent some time looking over your pictures ...

I had a little suspicion that everything was just too clean....

But I am no expert so I kept my thoughts to myself...
That being said it is a He!! of a big 'ol knife!

Thanks Dog!
As disappointing as it is that the knife is a repro, it is, like you said, still a big ole' knife that I will enjoy regardless of it's origin, after-all, the only thing that has changed is it's future resale value, and since it's highly unlikely I'll be selling ANY of my knives everything works out well.
It's extremely well made and if one didn't know better they would certainly believe it's the original knife.
Hopefully this little episode will teach me to read the listings more carefully before I hit the ole' "Submit" button!

Mail box had this in it yesterday. I've wanted a Hobo for a long time but just couldn't talk myself into pulling the trigger. Until last week. This one tipped the scales and it showed up in my mailbox yesterday. I'm very pleased with the price and the knife.
