Thanks it's not mint someone did a bad sharpen job on it but you can still see the etching (Stainless Steel)

Not sure but it looks like it was made between 1905 to 1922 A.W. Wadsworth & Sons part of the Kastor Bros , Imported brand from Aust/German to New York

Here is that old scout I got last month....
I posted it on the previous page right after I bought it.
As it turns out, it is a Schrade S2283.
Here is the before pic........


Here is how it turned out after I made a new pen blade and cleaned it up.
I also adjusted the kick on the main blade so it would sit lower in the liners.


Now I will put it in the case with my other scouts.

Had a half dozen of those mini, A.W.Wadsworth "SCOUT" knives. Black, brown, and blond bone. Shouldn't have sold them.

Found this Hammer/NYK Official Scout today. Great shape, missing the long bail. According to B.L., it was the only "official" until 1922.
"BE PREPARED" shield. 'Hammer" on the main tang, "New York Knife Co., Walden" on the screwdriver/cap lifter. Lying in a pile of seven knives on an open shelf among a bunch of dishes and lamps. My kind of pickin'. Lucky me! J.O'.

Nice find, J.O'. Herb had one of these originals but let it slip through his fingers.
