All About Pocket Knives

Added a Boker 182 awhile back, little unusual in that it has a pocket slip, chain, medallion and pocket clip. I'm thinking dates from the 1960's.

Hi all.

Don't seem to find much in the way of Canadian Scout knives so I thought I would add in this recent addition. It is my first scout knife. I'm usually a marlin spike enthusiast. I'm afraid this might be the start of a long dark path....but who needs light.

It's an Imperial (crown) Prov USA. Blade is etched Official Clasp knife Boy Scouts of Canada. Very nice clean knife. It has the Fleur de lis without the eagle on the scale emblem.

It is indeed a dark path to find examples as good as yours. Canadian Scout are hard to find, The blade etch on yours is the icing on the cake.

Thanks David, you see the knife fairly often but I don't recall ever seeing it with the accessories.

I've picked up a few new scout pattern knives myself recently, but haven't taken any pictures of them yet. I will take some and post a few pics.

I found this poor old Schrade Boy Scout that needs some HELP.....LOL.
I thought it was interesting that it is an "easy opener".... COOL.

It may have been a long time since I was on this thread.
Here are the only "Scouting" knives I have but I probably have 3 or 4 times this in "camping" knives.

Rather unusual Western States Junior scout.A little over 3 1/4".

An old Camillus Scout 4 line I think from the WW2 era. Great bones, great action, great tight-no-wobble lock up, and I like the multi-tool thing with old pretty bones.

Received one of those Girl Scout knives in the last POS pass around. The only thing wrong with it is the punch blade has the tip broken off. Other than that, it's in pretty good shape for it's age.

That is the one my wife had when she was a Girl Scout!
(Only the punch on hers isn't broken...LOL)

Can opener bit the dust, this Camillus Scout had to fill in. Did fine, a bit slow, but effective and great backup. The action on all blades is so smooth and no half stops anywhere.

Thank you much, that was the main reason I tried to find an older one. The great bones from that era tickle me. Thanks again, glad to hear it.

I saw this knife in a friend of mines collection about 8 yrs ago. Finally was able to talk his out of it. Got the hat and book with it.
