Picked up these 3 Case knives today. Belonged to a guy who worked at case building the large display cases. Started collecting in the 4os. These are 1940-1964.absolutly pristine.

Schatt & Morgan Cutlery Co Titusville PA
WW1 era, 1915.
The Arrow & C stamp on the spike indicates it was intended for the Canadian military.
Picked it up a couple days ago. Pics are as-found condition. Pretty big hefty knife, definitely built for rough duty. Great bone.

Great pick-ups everyone!

Here are a few Christmas gifts to myself I received in the mail this week. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year.

I thought it was interesting that the 6249 is Pocket Worn Bermuda Green Peach Seed Jigged Bone and the 6249W is Kentucky Bluegrass Peach Seed Jigged Bone and they look nearly identical to me.

Bulldog 1998 3 Blade Stag Copperhead.

Cobratec Abalone hidden bolster release Automatic with 154CM blade. When I first saw this knife, I assumed it was probably made overseas, but after a little research, it appears that these knives are made right here in the good ol' US in Texas. At 4 1/4" closed, it is a perfect size for me and functions flawlessly when deploying the blade using the hidden bolster release mechanism.

Thanks for your impressions of those Cobratec's, as soon as I saw them in an AAPK store my interest rose and I was wondering what others thought, and now I like them even more!

The Cobratec definitely didn't disappoint and performed even better than expected. May not be quite as big as you normally like, but for the price with the beautiful abalone handles and 154CM blade, I would definitely recommend it. You can find a few Cobratec's here in AAPK stores or check their website linked below for a large selection of autos. However, I'm not sure if they would ship to your location. Good luck if you decide to try them out.

I'm finding myself being more attracted to a smaller precise knife these days, Kevin, and it's likely due to knives like these Cobratec's becoming available, besides a smaller knife takes up less room, a commodity I'm running short of.
Thanks for the link to their store, I'd not heard of them prior to now and they sure have a bunch of great knives to choose from.
Every time I discover a new knife store it gives me the opportunity to get to know the principles so I can at least discuss shipping their knives to me, although, I've recently made another solid friend on this forum who is willing to let me buy a knife online, send it to him directly from the seller for repackaging, and then mail it off to me up here using specialized shipping. It sure is nice to have BladeBrothers!

I don't mean to be argumentative or contrary at all, but I was impressed with your take on Cobratech knives and decided to check them out. When I saw some good looking models for $50 I knew from long experience that price point means Asian for sure. After some research I found their own mission statement says they are made of Chinese materials. They say they are assembled in Texas, but to me that is not the same as made in Texas. Nothing wrong with that either if they were open and up front about it. But to me personally that is a classic marketing trick to get people who don't know better, or who don't bother to look up the facts, to think they are buying an American made knife because they know many people do not like made in China on principal. Same with Krate tactical autos. They play up the fact it's an American company, who only hire veterans and leave the impression you are getting an American made knife made by US veterans. You are not. They are made in China. I feel this is deceptive advertising and deceptive marketing. I am for truth in advertising and honesty in marketing or any business dealings so people can make informed decisions based on accurate info. I feel Cobratech is not. Seems to me they want people to think it's American made. But if the materials and components are made in China, and the parts are shipped here to merely be assembled, then it is not really American made and they should have the decency to say so up front and out in the open. I just want others to know the truth and not be fooled or even conned like I was when I bought a Krate OTF because I was told it was American made when they are not. I don't want others to feel lied to and cheated like I felt after finding out the whole truth. Not telling anyone what to buy or how to think either. I'm just sharing what I found out so others can decide for themselves based on truth and not deceptive statements or impressions. Just my 2 cents from my take on what American made really means. YRMV. And thanks for mentioning Cobratech so I could check them out and see what they were all about. Valuable lesson.

When I first saw this knife and did some limited research, I saw the company was based out of Meridian TX, but figured their knives were made in China. Then I saw a few things saying their knives are made in Meridian Texas and didn't dig any deeper at that point. Honestly, after looking at their website later, seeing some of the prices on their lower end knives and being in the game as long as I have, I really should have known better (probably just wishful thinking on my part). However, I probably should have dug a little deeper before posting that these were made in the US, or not mentioned it at all. I agree with you that these companies should be more open and honest about where their knives are made.

Cool little autos like that one are the kind of knives that will help automatic knives to someday lose their stigma of being vicious evil weapons carried only by criminals, cuz a knife like that could easily be thought of as a gentleman's vest-pocket fingernail cleaner that anyone would carry.
