That is beautiful wood, has a lot of character, not bland like some Rosewood can be. " Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ".

I agree, rose wood can be pretty bland. I suspect it’s years of pocket grime, sweat, and oil that gives this one character.

QS, I was actually commenting on Wade's knife from the previous page and waited to long to do it. But that Kissing Crane is great as well. Lovely bones and the pattern has grown on me from liking the old WW2 military knives. I'm also kinda partial to German knives. I don't own a Kissing Crane yet but bet that gets corrected before too long.
