Hey Garry. Hope you and yours are well.
Formidable. Great description! Fitting.
Saw him once go from serenity to rage in a split second. It appears he wasn't fond of two dogs that came by in a car barking at him. Startled both of us. Appears he was not fond of whatever the other dogs said, in canine speak.
He is fine with people and dogs that don't bark at him. Adopted him at 120# and 1 year old so maybe past experience? Who knows.
Anyway, 140# of rage and I was holding the leash. Seems he forgot that factoid after rage mode kicked in. Body slam and and 15 foot drag across parking lot.
Fractured ribs. Damaged unit for 3 months. Next time I want to go through that is "NEVER"!
Actually in awe of whole experience. Like John Wick on 4 legs. Not kidding, best way I can describe him.
Focused, determination and sheer will.
The end.
PS: Scratches and pets applied.
Take care, Jerry

Had to take our old lab, Purdey Girl in for surgery to have a tumor removed. She’s 12 years old so we were worried about her having surgery, but she came through with no problems. That was on Wednesday. She’s recovering nicely but she hates that cone

. Keeps running into things with it, and I think worst of all for her is, she can’t touch stuff with her nose!

She had an incision about 6 inches long. She’s on pain meds and antibiotics now, doesn’t seem to feel bad and has normal appetite. We won’t get the biopsy results until next week.
Here she is right after we brought her home. I think she was still a little bit loopy from the anesthesia.

She is like “What did I do to deserve this punishment?”
And it is supersized.

Ah the cone of shame. My dogs hate that thing. The worst part is having them ram you with it when they pass. A few times like that while wearing shorts can really hurt.
I took this shot of Moki the other day. He lays in the kitchen whenever we are in the kitchen to prep food. The second photo is Bristol on the left and Girl Scout on the right. This is the position they lay in. Can’t figure out why dogs like to crowd into small rooms with us. I get all 4 in my office when I am working on knives. Can’t back my chair up without looking to make sure an ear, leg or tail isn’t going to be rolled over.

Great pack Mark!
When they crowd around, major compliment and show of love they have for you. You're blessed.

Cute pups, and I hope your Purdey Girl is OK, Ken.
Our cats were happy to see us back at home yesterday. But not so happy about being too close to each other.

After a long day of napping, eating, fighting with Ireland and using the kitty box, Luna was beat.

Thanks, QS! She lost 2 lbs. over the summer, so she's been on thyroid medicine for over a month now. But she was on the porky side, hopefully she's healthier now.

Update on Purdey Girl - removed the cone Thursday, three weeks after surgery. Biopsy result says the tumor was benign. Small chance of regrowth since the vet thinks she removed all of it. The surgery scar is stating to “hair over” and Purdey is very happy to be rid of that cone, and allowed outside unsupervised.

She was barking at the cows again this morning. Now to find a pile of fresh cow manure to roll in, and all will be back to normal.

Took some outdoor pics of my pack. It’s hard to get all 4 of them in the same shot. Managed to get the new roof in the background on two of these. You wouldn’t know that roof is slate gray called Vermont slate. In different lights it looks blue like in these photos.

Nice pictures. I can believe it's hard to get all 4 dogs on the same pictures.

I couldn't get three dogs on the same pictures yesterday.

Your new roof looks nice.

And that chimney is Sweeeeet!

Finally got the rest of this year's firewood into the barn yesterday.

Of course I had my dog pack there to help me.
Jake is 6 years old. (dark brown)
Amy is 3 years old. (black)
And our newest addition was added to the pack while I was in America visiting my Mom before her passing away. I'm sayings that because I was not here & I have nothing to do with the choice of His name.
Brady is 5 months old and full of energy as most puppies are.

You know, eating holes in the couch and just normal puppy stuff.
He's the little beige feller.

Thanks Tom, It was such a beautiful day that day, sure miss that, already. It’s been overcast, damp, windy, or rainy for over a week now. Welcome to winter in Indiana.
Love the pictures of the pack you have. I know how much energy a puppy has and I’m sure he keeps you and the other dogs busy all day long. I’m sure he also has you in stitches every day about something he does that’s funny. I love watching my puppy Moki play, he is a ball of energy.
