Nothing wrong with that. Better to wear out than to rust out. Sweet knives.

Nice looking group. 72's are great workers and EDC's. I have a 72, a Craftsman 9494, and an Ulster 63 that I rotate regularly. They will last a lifetime, as long as they're given some TLC.

I have a few Ulsters, they don't seem very popular with collectors, however I have had lot's of good use from mine. I rally like my Ulster Scout knife.

I have found the Ulster 63 a little harder to find than the Camillus 72 and the Schrade 863, but a fine knife non the less.

I proudly added this one today to my Camillus 72 Family. It is a Double Line Tang Stamp Camillus 72Y Yellow Jacket. It is like new in the box, and has the original Pamphlet, and sleeve. It has the yellow Delrin handles, with the Double Line Camillus Shield. It has the traditional set of blades for the Camillus 72 Carpenters whittler, and all are like knew and have never been put on a stone, and have the original grind and blade luster. On the mark side of the tang it has the double line Camillus tang stamp, but on the pile side it has the 1997 22LR6 tang stamp. I do know these have showed up before, and the usual discussion is.....Does it have the 22LR6 Clip Blade because they were short of the 72 stamped blades in 1997, or is this a later produced end of production before the doors were shut build? Either way, I'm glad to find it. Here are the photo's, all I did was wipe it down with a Chamois.

Rainy day so getting caught up with mail bills and knife stuff. Bills can wait so here’s a few knives that want to post.
The 72 Yello Jaket ,nice etch ,typical main ,etc, etc,. Not fond of the handle material ,needed one for my 72 s ,doesn’t bother me about the crack at back center pin area, got into right.
The 1997 22 LR6 w/ Rimfire etched main, and bullet shield is a Camillus stamped knife so believe it belongs here . However will also post in Variations/ Clones . It’s not a big deal to me personally,it’s like the Cattleman / Stockman thing. Just re read both of those threads b4 posting here . There’s a lot of gray area. So it comes down to ,it’s a knife and I like it and here’s some pics .
Have a good one out there ,stay safe

As I posted in another thread dealing with this subject, the LR6 was made by Camillus as part of their .22 Long Rifle Series in the mid 1990's. Being made by Camillus with a Camillus tang stamp and being the same pattern as a 72 makes it in my mind part of the Camillus 72 family. JMHO

This afternoon, I get the pleasure of adding this pocket knife to my collection. It's a CAMILLUS 72, 3 blade, swelled center,
3 5/8" closed, short line tang stamp, 1st generation, "whittler" pocket knife. It needed a good cleaning and I'm quite surprised, but pleased, that it cleaned up as well as it did. I took some pictures and here it is.
Click on a picture to ENLARGE.
