Ever since you first posted the pics of them, Carl, I have been intrigued with the Lexingtonian pattern. I was so taken with Rams Horn on this one I found in an AAPK store, I just couldn't resist.....had to get it. Glad I did, too.....man, this is a sweet knife! ::super_happy::

I really liked the shape of the pattern, long and thin. The inspiration for that knife came out of a 1920's Winchester catalog, but it was lengthened from 3 1/2 up to 3 3/4 inch long. And changed the tip of the spear blade slightly. Over 800 made and released out at this point, and I've not heard anyone complain. It really is a great knife.

Love the rams horn on that one too, well done!

Mahalo cudgee & Carl ::handshake:: ::handshake::

When push comes to shove, I'm pretty much a die hard Wharncliffe guy, but I find myself totally enamored with the long slender spear on the Lexingtonian and Mortician. Something about that profile really appeals to me and the long pull is the final touch that makes me ::drool::

I'll see if I can work a wharncliffe into the next new pattern that is designed. :D :D :D

Knew I could count on you, buddy! ::tu:: But, if you do get the DF to make a single blade Wharncliffe folder all I ask is that you give me advanced notice because I want to have a shot at getting one before Kevin buys them all

::rotflol:: Just logged in for my daily check of the DFKB forum when I saw this post, and got a good laugh. You know we'll always make sure the Wharncliffe King gets a shot at any DFKB Wharnies that are created as long as we're still chasing them down, brother. Heck, if they made a limited run of two, I would have to buy them both if there was any doubt, to make sure you got one. :D ::handshake::
BTW... Great snag on that Ram's Horn. Very Cool knife. ::tu::

Nice character on the horn. Almost translucent on the mark side and the pile side almost looks like mammoth ivory.

The slender spear with long pull and sabre swedge is indeed the classiest blade shape in my opinion.

I am a not patient person by nature, but I have have had to learn to accept that the world does not conform to my timeline. Ever since Carl announced the release of the Stag Old Man Jack nearly two and a half years ago, I have been patiently waiting for one to find its way to Casa de ~Q~ ::pray:: As it so happens, good things do indeed come to those who wait. I have been looking for one of these for a while and it was worth the wait. Nicer axe than I anticipated and very sharp. Little Giant Axe.

Happy to finally be allowed to show this. The new Tuna Valley pattern has been in the works since last summer. This is called the Mountain Cougar, It's a non-locking swinguard pattern. 154CM steel blade. 4 1/2 inch closed. The first release has Curly Birch handles. Eventually stag, mammoth, jig bone, giraffe bone, acrylics, exotic woods, etc. will be coming. Also, a spear blade version will come out as well.

This first batch has a 2025 backside tang stamp.

The next batch of Mountain Cougar knives is ready. I just picked up a handful yesterday to get photos, and they should be with dealers by end of next week. 10 of each color were made. Tuna Valley brand, 154CM steel. Non-locking swinguard pattern.
