I have enjoyed looking at this thread. I have only a couple of knives with tipped bolsters. Here is one of them: a Boker.

Here is a Schrade Cutlery knife. Very sharp. Good snap
and half-stops.
Made in the 40's?

I'm really impressed with how they fitted the stag without removing hardly any of the bark at the bolsters.
