Thanks Skip, I appreciate your comments.
Tommy, glad Vit was able to answer your question.
Vit I appreciate your input and your site. I use it most next to AAPK. I appreciate all your work on it.
JP, I'm glad you let this one slip through to me. Thanks and they do come up regularly so you will probably snag a better one.

Thanks Tom, I'll probably never carry it. But I do enjoy those old WW 2 knives.

This one is of WW2 vintage. A scalpel made for the military during WW2. Easily sterilized and razor sharp.

WOW!!! A piece of CAMILLUS cutlery that isn't a pocket knife!
That is a VERY fine looking scalpel, Doctor Floyd.

Fyoyd, agree with Skip , a nice piece of military cutlery from Camillus. Being a Scalpel and sharp, did it come in a kit, case with other field instruments, or ? And this is the first one I have seen, many thanks .
Stay warm

Thanks Skip, I knew they existed but had never seen one for sale. Glad to get it.
JP, I have no idea how they were originally shipped. I think they are a stand alone product. I found it on a military surplus site. Bay State Militaria is the site, I believe they have some more plus other interesting thing. Thanks.

Today I add this pocket knife to my "general" CAMILLUS pocket knife collection. It is a 1958 CAMILLUS, single blade, 3 tool pocket knife. A nice companion for the 1949, the 1959 and the 1960 that I've acquired. It has a few issues, but I'm not concerned. It also needed a little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Glad.....
Thank you Floyd.

If 1958s were a little more common, I would've waited for one in a little
better condition. But, since I have a better chance of spotting a two
headed unicorn than of seeing another 1958 become available any time
soon, I bought this one. The issues with it are minor and one can be corrected.

Good.....
Thank you JP.

I am NOT going to try and obtain every single year in the series.
I'm going to go after two more dates and that'll be it for these.

Latest easy open, an early Camillus, pen blade has 4 line and main has 3 line tang stamp. The spear blade appears to be semi fat, pulls and snap like a new knife.
