No sir. I've never seen that logo and have no idea what it means but I would like to know.

Looks like an anvil with lightning emanating to me. But just the way it looks to me, could be way off.

I'll go out on a limb, and say it has to do with the smelting of the ore or the blending of the steel in a carbon rod arc furnace.
Smaller batches of steel are heated to higher temps, and further purified than steel from standard blast furnaces.

Arc furnaces are used in Lab. research more so than production due to higher production costs...

Am I close?
Ps... Love that red in the stag. It's electric in itself.

To be honest, I don't know for sure what it's intended to signify. However, my guess is that it's because this knife is magnetic. I discovered this by accident when I placed it next to another knife and they "stuck" together. It's not a super strong magnetism, but it does have a noticeable magnetic attraction. Next question: What possible reason could there be for having a magnetic knife? (I'm still scratching my head over this one.)

I did some trading a few weeks ago when an AAPK member surprised me with this wonderful S&M Stag 99. I was just thinking about buying one when this showed up in the mail. I love this little knife.

Happy Jack, For those who don't know the brand, Happy Jack was made by knife maker Chuck Garlits. He made the Happy Jack Brand in 1987-1989. Everything is handmade and the fit and finish is wonderful. This was a limited run of 39 for the American Edge Collectors Association Club in 1988. This is his Large Swayback Wharncliffe Model that about 4" when closed. Arizona Custom Knives has a number of his knives right now if anyone want to see a nice mix of his work. Chuck is also the cousin of NHRA Race Car Driver Don Garlits.

The MOP is imitation pearl. I wish is was real. But I don't mind. Just being able to own one of his knives makes my day. The man was a very good knife maker.

This ones got my son in laws name on it, I'm so proud of him. A few months back he got promoted to Master Sargent E8 in the Marines. I think I'll give him this for Christmas.

Isn't it GREAT when your kids pick the correct partners!

Greg, I seem to have a lot of those (weak moments), although usually they end up with me getting a new knife, not letting one go! Once I get a knife it essentially becomes a part of my family and very difficult to part with. I'm glad it went to a good home, though.

I thought I was going to bust my buttons when my Niece made Tech Sgt (E-6) in the Air Force a few months ago at only 8 years TIS.

Several in that area but the only one in Virginia Beach is:

Marine Aviation Training Support Group 33, Naval Air Station Oceana
Virginia Beach, Virginia

Camp Allen is right next door in Norfolk, Virginia

There's a Marine Corps Detachment at Fort Lee, Fort Lee, VA but that's up the road quite a ways almost to Richmond, VA.

Enjoy it while you can...that one is scheduled to get the orvet magic mod treatment in a few months. I'm currently in the process of sourcing just the right material for the makeover.
