Thanks Lyle, do love those old stag pruners.
Found this early Queen with Queen City tang stamp, I think that is from 1922 to 1932.

Sure is Lyle, lucky so much of it remains.
Just received 2 more, a 1991 Queen and a Saynor Crooke&Ridal that is a 100 years or so earlier. The 1991 Queen has similar blade profile to the 1920's Queen.

Lots of beautiful old Horticultural Knives posted in this thread

... To add a few of mine...
Walden Knife Company Pruner - This knife without a doubt is the nicest wood handle knife that I have in my collection... think it is cocobola. While this maker is usually out of my scope of focus for collecting there was no way I was leaving this behind once I had it in hand (and thus it is part of my "Special Opportunties" category

... Hardest snapping blade I have by far as well - just a great quality solid knife!!
Excelsior Knife Co Pruner - Nice cocobola and pinched bolster in a good quality CT maker... and not easy to find

)
Saynor Cooke & Ridal - Meehan Phila - Budding/Grafting Knife - see separate post on this knife under Knife Lore for details.
Funny - I have learned to say - "Never say never" in knife collecting... if you would have asked me 2 months ago if I had any interest in horticultural knives the answer would have been no... Now I have 3 and one more on the way
Cheers
Lee

Figured this would be a good way to revive this thread. This is a group of hawks that a friend has collected. The top knives are a George Schrade and a Catt. The bottom 2 are Catt's
From left to right for the group, Allen Cutlery, Wilbert, Terrier, Keene, Utica, Holley, Electric Cut, Mason & Sons, Beaver Falls, H & JW King, another Catt, Crandall Cutlery, Schrade Cut, Ulster, John Chatillon

Cool knife MB

... the stamp is unique for sure and the spud no doubt is different than the norm!!
Here's an Empire Winsted CT Hawkbill that took a good bit of cleaning when I received it - but not too bad now imo...

Nice one Lee, it looks to have quite some life! I do like old ebony, it seems to keep up well even after many years of service.
