Hi Dimitri,

Unfortunately I don't have any new "old scouts" to post. I took a brief hiatus from collecting but am starting to get back into the swing again. I have been collecting some of the newer scouts, namely "100 years of scouting" anniversary models. These are everywhere right now as we are indeed celebrating the 100th year of scouting in the United States (1910 to 2010). I think everybody would agree that this is a pretty big deal.

If I can remember to bring my camera in, I'll snap a few photos and post them.

I should also mention that Case XX has produced some amazing 100th Anniversary Scout Knives. They're too rich for my wallet but they are sweet! Maybe my scouts will pitch in and buy me one.

I’ll try and find some good photos of these and post them as well.

Nice knife. I never saw one and I always love seeing knives I have never seen before. thanks for sharin it.

I have seen 2 of them in my 35 years of collecting JACK KNIFE BEN knives. Has anybody seen a cap lifter, can opener combination blade like this one?

Here are a few Boker USA unofficial scout knives. I don't know why they keep following me home. Somehow I blame Philco...
Would have taken more pictures but my kids keep stealing the @^$%^ batteries out of my camera.
All are 9361 pattern. approximate age L to R:
#1) unknown. Black plastic handles appear to be nylon (1940-1960?)
#2) Bone handles. circa 1940-1960
#3) Bone handles. circa 1950-mid 1960s
#4) "Improved stag type handles" (delrin). circa mid 1960s-1975.
#5) "Del-bone" handles 1976-1983

I neglected to mention the lanyards on these knives. Made using paracord that Junebug kindly sent me a while back. These came via his brother by way of Iraq - if I recall correctly. Anyways, the paracord is definitely well traveled. Thanks Junebug! just goes to show - in knife collecting, it really does take "a village".
