Great knives from everyone!

Here are two that are in my pocket today.

That kind of fabric would also be good to make knife slips from.

Hmmm never been into knifes slips, but it might work.
A flannel shirt is hard to beat this time of year around here.

Nice Trio Joe! Is that Hammer Brand new, old or NOS? I have an old Brand advertising knife on my watch list but they are asking €20 for it. Not sure if I want to pay that much for it.

Tom i don't know that I'd want to spend that much on one of the older shell handle ones although they a fine users, I generally find them for under 10 bucks.

It looks like this. I guess it's not really worth about $25. But the thing is this, will I ever find another Hammer Brand over here? In a year or in ten years or never or maybe next month. Ya just never know.

That being the case you might want to make the leap. That's not a shell handle, although an inexpensive knife when it was made, it's got some age on it and in my opinion some serious factor. I sure wouldn't be ashamed to own it.

GEOCASH, This knife was almost certainly made by Queen. Both the main and pen blade tangs read the same. "Robeson Sure Edge."

The red shield reads Pocket EZE. Both Shur Edge and Pocket Eze were used in early generations of the Robeson brand. Queen brought them back in 1999. I suppose that when Queen went belly up it is possible the brand was acquired by GEC. But I have no knowledge of that. If anyone does, kindly fill me in.

As for me and my house's 2 cents, I can only tell you don't knock it till you try it. Might even see the logic in it. Everyone has an opinion on perfect pocket carries and every one of them differs. I used to carry one knife but found I like it better with a few different blades for different tasks. I can't find all the blades I want in one knife and I've tried. You can't spread peanut butter very well with a wharnie or thin clip. But they are the great box cutters. My big fat spreading spear blades are great for peanut butter, food prep, cutting veggies, Avocados, mayo, mustard etc, but won't box cut or get in tight spaces at all. Gotta have both. And I looked for years for a nice big spreading spear and a wide, long wharnie and a small blade, good stag or bone. Nobody makes them. One Queen I saw once with spear and wharn was put together poorly and didn't make the grade. I like a couple full sized blades and a small blade or two. If you want two or three full sized main blades of a certain profile, you will have to carry two or three knives because I don't know of any, or they are very hard to find, or they just aren't being made. Some of my buddies carry a big knife and a small, or a box cutter and food blade, or combo for whatever reason but it makes sense to them. One buddy just likes having several knives to choose from and play with. It all makes sense to the user. Your results may very. For what it's worth.

Don’t worry, I have a dumb answer. Although I usually post a picture of one or two knives, over the course of a day or two or three I may stick several more in my pockets. I do try to match the blade to the task & don’t have one or two patterns that can do everything but being practical is usually my second consideration. Unfortunately, I can rarely leave the house but fortunately I have a pile of knives to coon-finger & chicken-eye. I fill my pockets because I like pocket knives & because I can.

I can see carrying different knives for different tasks. At the farm I carry these pretty much exclusively.
