Here's a few more pick-ups recently received from our very own "Q". The Schatt & Morgan bone 51 was an unexpected and greatly appreciated bonus "BOMB". Thanks again Q, for these beautiful knives... I love them all. ::handshake::
Thank you I’m glad to pick those two up.

Great group knifeaddict. Congrats. Looks like your collection suffers from the same issues as mine, we owe half of it to Q. Couldn't be from a nicer dude either. Cool knives, love that ivory and the giraffe bone, and the stag and shell, the pearl, wood and ..... ::tu:: ::tu::

Nice score, love seeing brands I've never heard of before. And who doesn't love an unused 90 year old? Good one.

Thanks for the compliment on the knives…it’s been a busy summer, just got back from the forth trip of the summer…was in Vegas for over a week….I’m hoping to stay home more, now that fall is here… we go to a handful of football games and stay just the weekend on those but now back to knife hobby…
Wow, sounds like you've put in some miles lately, good for you!
Good hearing from you, Jamie! ::handshake::

I have a back-log of about a dozen knives to post, so I'll start with this one!
9" oal RPK/Russian Prison Knife that's made of all-metal and feels great in my hand.
Fires well with secure lock-up and it's nice n' heavy.
This one came through ebay, and wasn't delayed at Customs, go figure.
This makes 7 of these I've purchased and each is different than the previous, they are truly unique knives!

Yah, thanks Kim.
I truly don't think we should feel like fools for having our knives seized, after-all, we were simply minding our own business and they decide to step-in and ruin everything. The fault is theirs, not ours! ::huff::

Every once in a while, a blind hog will find an acorn. That also applies to those of us who fish in the shallow end of the bay, I found a real nice little Boker USA 2169! The mother of pearl handles has a little bit of fire in them but I'm not able to capture it with my camera. :( Like a lot of these little pen knives, the blades still have the factory edge. This one has a closed length of 2 3/4".

You're right about that Floyd! Way too fancy for bibs.
I could only find a couple of 2160s on the internet, one was attached with a chain to a "cut out silver" coin, they were asking $125.00! ::dang::
In my original post I hit the wrong key, it's a 2160 not a 2169.
I suppose lots of these type knives were gifts for fancy folks as they're not big enough to be practical as an EDC. ::hmm::

Miss Kim, I believe I would figure out how to get the paint off the blade. The leather handle looks mighty good as does the scabbard. Makes one wonder if this one has been put away and the "paint" might be a preservative. ::shrug:: On the other hand it might be reworked.
Pal is an interesting old company.

I received this a few weeks ago (so it is technically a mail call I think - lol) and I'm not sure if this is authentic or not, but hoping it is ::fc::

It looks like someone painted the blade with a dull gray paint, so the markings are difficult to make out.

I'm not sure why someone would paint the blade or if I should try to remove it ::shrug::

Anyway, I'm hoping someone on here can help me out with this sucker. I posted it in the Knife Q & A thread, but I don't know how much traffic that thread gets, so I'm just putting it out here too.
Cool find Kim. It almost looks like someone may have applied a dry film coating. Nice looking knife though! ::tu::

Picked up three good old EDC's at the antique market yesterday. Some rust removal, elbow grease and oil, and I have some keepers1
Got a great deal because of their condition, but that's how I like it. That way I get to make them mine with some sweat equity!

Case XX 40-64 Grand Daddy Barlow.

SchradeWalden 804 "Craftsman" Whittler

Wards 390 Cigar Jack:This one did need a new pivot pin, so that was my evening project. Came out well. No wiggle and she walks and talks again..

I have to agree with Smitty, Kim, your bowie looks like a dry film coating was applied to the blade. ::hmm::
Reworked or not, it's a fine looking knife!

You made the score of the month with your $5. purchases, Kerry, with clean-up and/or repair skills like yours you don't need to ever pay for a new knife again! ::nod::
Nice catch, buddy!

I picked-up this little number recently cuz I liked it's profile and stag covers, and once I handled it it didn't disappoint!
Completely unmarked 8 1/2" oal top-lock with a needle-point blade, all steel hardware, top-lock blade release, dual studs, copper lanyard tube, and beautifully weathered stag covers. I like this knife!
