Congratulations, Kevin. I love the Tuna Valley Phoenix Jacks and that's a very nice bunch of knives you scored; well done! 8) ::tu::
Thanks Q, I just posted those beautiful knives I got from you as well.

Thanks again!

I love the beautiful stag on the Tuna Valley and Titusville. The handle materials on the Excelsiors wouldn't have been my first choice, but they were the only Excelsior's available, and I probably couldn't have afforded them in stag or pearl. My goal today was to walk out with my first Tuna Valley & Excelsior. Never thought I would end up with 4 of these awesome knives plus a Titusville & Northfield.

You picked up some real beauties, both these and the ones you got from QTCut. Really great knives there!

Thanks Reverand, I hadn't bought many knives the past couple of years with the crazy prices, so I am happy to have made up for it this week.

As some of y'all know I'm a knife accumulator rather than a knife collector and most times I fish in the shallow end of the bay. HOKs with full blades sometimes go unnoticed and that is a strategy that sometimes disappoints me but sometimes I'm very well pleased when I open my package. Today I received a package from Los Angeles that I was really looking forward to opening. A few days ago, a Queen #18, a '76 model with imitation Winterbottom was on Ebay. No one seemed to be interested, so I made a whoppin' big $13 bid. I won, hoping the knife was as good as it looked in the pictures. It still has a pretty good etch on the spear blade, some scratches but there was a tiny chip in the pen, right at the end. I was still tickled!

I believe it's worth $13 plus shipping.

Thanks Kim & Papa... The amber stag is some of the prettiest I've seen, and the pile side is just as pretty and a perfect match to the mark side.

Papa, I agree that Q has great taste in knives and is great to work with. The only problem is after looking at his amazing knives for the past couple of years, he's gotten me hooked on these wharncliffes and I may not be able to stop buying them.

Thanks for the comments on the #18 Queen! ::handshake::
Last few weeks I've also seen several small Schrade, USA made knives that appeared to be full bladed and I ran across an Old Timer Honesteel that was a 1st for me. They all have factory edges but with a few blemishes on the blades from rust spots, etc. There is a 34OT, an 18OT and an Old Crafty 9545, not big enough for an EDC but would work as a "Sunday go to meetin' knife".

Good looking Case Cheetah and still has the swing guard. Sometime on the Cheetah it is hard to see the dots, you may be able to fold the blade half way and move the swing guard a bit and see some of them. I don't know, but the handles look like jigged red bone to me.

Thanks, I really like the Case Cheetah knives. I have one with scrimshawed cheetahs on it, because, why not?

Well, another rookie mistake made by the old Kimster. Well, now I have a nice jigged red stag bone knife. I really have to educate myself more before buying certain stuff online. I thought I was buying antler, but that's ok, maybe it really is from 1970 and not 2017? It is what it is I guess.
Hey Kim, here's what it looks like if it's a 1970. It's probably hidden under the guard on your Cheetah. don't feel bad, you'll never learn it all, but there is a ton of knowledge on this site. That's a nice knife, BTW. The ones that aren't Stainless won't have the word Stainless on the tang, but you'll see how the dots work. 10 would be 1970, 9 for '71, 8 for '72, etc. They remove one for each year. It can be a bit confusing, because they change the stamp every 10 years. Hope this helps

7 dots would indicate it was manufactured in 1973. As Smitty said, it can be hard to see all the dots on some patterns. (Copperheads are another such pattern.) You got yourself a really good-looking knife there! ::tu::

Received these yesterday from my local Postal Rider. Fished these out of the bay. Another Robeson ShurEdge 512224. I couldn't help it, look at da bones. ::dang:: Another Camillus Double Line Tang Stamp Yellow handle 72Y Yellow Jacket. I know....I know, but they're like potato chips, gotta have a bunch. And Lastly, just because I thought it would go good with my J.C. Higgens double barrel 16ga that my Granddaddy gave me, a J.C. Higgins tang stamp 1967479 fixed blade. Not the original sheath, and needs just a little cleaning on the blade. ::nod::
