That looks good… looks ergonomically comfy too
Light?
What does the thumb hole do if it fires from a button? Just curious…(maybe to just reduce weight?)

Thanks, Jim. I would say it's about medium weight but leaning more toward light for its size. I got it from a seller on another forum but the specs on BladeHQ say it's 4.26 ounces with a 4.32 inch handle a 3.25 inch blade. Handles are aluminum.
That is a very good question about the thumb hole. I have no idea really but I did try to open it after releasing the safety. The blade does not move without pressing the button.

Good looking auto, Rick. Looks like a real worker.
I was thinking the hole in the blade was for dual-action, but if you tried it and it didn't move I too have no idea what it's for. Perhaps to give the visual impression it's a manual, or the suggestion it's to reduce weight also fits.

The same thing occurred to me when Jim asked about the hole. Thought maybe it was a dual-action and I just didn’t know it.

I added these 2 testers to their place in the pile today!
A 9 3/4" oal colorful modern Queen, and a 9 1/4" oal old and rare Revesz slip-joint Melon-Testers!
Beautiful milky stag and fileworked spine on the Revesz!

Via a "Quick Links" search it seems this is the very first time Revesz brand has been mentioned on this site!

All are beauts, Marco! So what do you think about the Rosecraft? Good quality?

Those are all nice Mark. I like that stag one the best.
I’ve gotten a few recently. A Henckels 5 blade canoe whittler. Sold the only one I had a few years ago and regretted it ever since. This one might be nicer than the one I had, but not much difference. Boker made this for Henckels and the premium materials really shows on this.
A Queen made Cripple Creek Barlow, made in 1994. Sawcut brown bone, perfect centering on both blades a very high quality build from Queen.
Last is a humpback whittler made by Queen for Robeson, nice stag handles.

IMHO Tim, I'd give it an 7 on a scale of 1-10.
Aside from it's butt-ugly appearance it would make a great pocket knife, t's very well constructed and when that big ole' choil wraps itself around your first finger and hugs it snuggly it's extremely comfortable to hold, and undoubtedly use.
Thanks for your kind words, buddy!

Thanks, Mark.
That stag Melon-Tester is a special knife. It's very well made and has stood up over time, not your usual M/T 'er. Have you ever heard of the Revesz brand?
I browse your store at least once a day, and you've been listing some great knives, it seems I'm being surprised regularly with your new stock.

It cost a penny but probably wasn't worth the shipping, but it's gonna fit in with display of queens quite nicely.

Nice Homer, that needs more exposure. Would help a few folks I'm sure. Love it.

Another wild threesome XX. Beautiful knives as usual.
Little ODGreen from Kershaw came in. No snap or action really. Manual movement only here. Handle fits the hand well though and they left the micarta furry. Looooooooooooooe that.

I have not heard of this brand Revesz, but I will look them up. Thanks for the compliment on the store. I only stock what I would and do collect. Don’t know if others do the same in their stores or not.

I love your Kershaw, Iman, not to mention the term "furry" to describe unfinished micarta!
Is that their "Federalist" model?
Thx!

When I Googled "Revesz knives", Mark, some info and pictures came up but not an awful lot.
I'd appreciate hearing more if you find anything.
Thx!

Good eye Bro, nailed it. Thanks too. Maybe fuzzy is a more accurate term for how it feels. Definitely has some texture like blue jeans unlike some knives with ODgreen that are dead smooth. This one is not smooth and has GREAT grip compared to some canvas micarta. Thanks for the mention bud, appreciate the comments. I was shocked to even get a USA Kershaw for the sixty smackers plus tax. Think it's worth that.

Thanks Iman and tvic. Your right iman if you follow those directions anybody can put a edge on a knife, but it takes patience and practice and a little hand and eye accordination(sp) don't hurt.

Does it have some sort of lock on the blade?

No lock. I believe they call it "detente" or something. Some tension on the blade when open keeps it open supposedly. Although after being used to traditional knives with spring tension that is hard or bear trap, this feels like it could definitely close on you if you're not careful. Not a big fan of that either. I love bear trap tension because it feels like it won't close on you. This has none. Feels like a friction folder to me without much friction. If that helps.

Wow, I need to visit the site more frequently as it took me a solid hour to catch up. Once again a lot of great knives.
My collecting has slowed a bit but I saw a couple on eBay that I couldn’t pass up.
1976 6250 Elephant Toe with wood handles
1976 5111L 1/2 Sambar Stag Cheetah
