Man Wayne, that's an awesome un'. Love the ole pearl, and etch, and sheath, and... Heck! It's a completely beautiful vintage Sheffield.

Thanks edge and Willie. Not sure of the age but it is a true Bowie era knife. A very light knife more in line with a dirk than a heavy Bowie blade. Not much information that I could find on J.W. Staniforth. I would guess this knife would be in the 1840 -1880 time frame.

This is a ABS Journeyman Smith Gentlemens Fighter from, now ABS Master Smith, Tad Lynch. Koa wood handle, wrought iron guard from an old wagon wheel in the Ozarks, 1084 and 15N20 damascus that has been differentially heat treated. David Seward made the sheath for me, carved leather and full quill Ostrich.

Another beautiful knife from Sunny Bozeman.

And the sheaths for your knives are always stunning as well!

Minus 10° here this morning (I had to rub it in to all those jealous guys south of the Mason Dixon).

The knife is very beautiful. However, the sheath is, to me, breathtaking. Quite extraordinary.
