I got bombed hard!

The mail came late today. There were two boxes on the porch. One had a packing slip holder on the outside...with German text. That meant only one thing: a package from TPK arrived!

First up, the Böker he agreed to trade me last year, right before Deutsche Bundespost hugely increased their international shipping rates. This is a very nice and intricately detailed little knife!
There were an additional nine knives in the box, too! Top row, left to right: Solingen stainless, Solingen carbon, Marble's Canoe. Middle row, left to right: E.R.N. (I think), _finstahl (I can't make out the first letter), Rodgers from England. Bottom row, left to right: Hartkopf & Co, C.F. Kaiser, Richartz "SAK-alike." If anyone can provide any additional information about the Solingen knives, I'd be grateful.
The size of the box had me puzzled...until I looked on the customs form and saw "chocolate." Yes, Tom even sent some chocolate. The box on the right contains Märzipan, a real favorite of mine.
An enormous thank you to Tom for a great trade and some fantastic extras. He is a consummate example of why this board is such a great place!

No fireworks on the 4th of July but I did get Bombed.

Dan's package got through customs & landed on my doorstep yesterday. Inside there was a Case Pocket Worn Havest Orange Peanut which Dan traded me for the Böker in his above post. Thanks for the trade Buddy!

And because Dan's the man, he threw in some extra goodies that I am very happy to have.

First off, a Schrade Walden 708 Serpentine Jack. An awesome little EDC but to make it even better, it has belonged to 2 AAPK members before me. Dan of course. And our Canadian friend kj. Very happy to own & carry this little beauty! I'm telling you guys the buck stops here! I mean the Schrade Walden stops here. It's a Keeper!

Dan also threw in a sweet blue, black & grey lanyard. I love lanyards. As well as 2 very cool Case bandanas. One in Black & one in Burgandy. These will make great backdrops for taking pictures.

I don't have any pictures to share yet because everything is still at my Mom's house in Maryland but I can still go ahead and tell you all about it.

Steve Warden offered to send me an Ohio license plate from his first car to add to my plates collection. Which alone was a very kind & generous thing to do. As if that were not enough, he also Bombed me with a 327-> Buck knife. And as if that was still not enough, there was a charming note and some cash for my Mom asking her to please buy me a box of Pop-Tarts for my next package and put whatever is left over towards the shipping costs. I call this act of kindness a..., "Mom - Bomb"!

Sometimes the generosity and kindness of other AAPK members just blows my mind. If anyone ever says that cyberfriends are not real friends then I'd say it depends on who your cyberfriends are. Because my cyberfriends here on the AAPK definitely fall into the catagory of "real friends". I'm very thankful to be here & spend a little time with such great people.

I'll post pictures of my license plate, Buck knife & Pop - Tarts whenever they get here.

I was more than pleasantly surprised when I got home from work this afternoon to find an unawaited package from the motherland.

Two direkt hits from the USMC that ripped through here like a runaway train & sent me to the ropes!


Thanks Jerry! Your too kind & generous my friend! I really appreciate your donation to my collection of license plates. They are very cool, very unique & because they are from another Knifer friend & AAPK member they are also very special additions to my humble collection!
When the plate I'm getting from Steve Warden shows up I'll be mounting it together with yours so you guys plates will be together on my "Wall of Fame". Cool!

I will get them hung up & pictures of them hanging posted first thing next saturday. I'd like to do it tomarrow but there is a playground "Grand Opening Ceremony" going on right beside my car port tomarrow so I'll probably have to wait till next saturday.

On my end, I have to say I wasn't expecting to receive anything from anybody. Then I get a package from Jamie in WV. Apparently, Jamie doesn't know how giveaways work. I had my GAW a bit ago, and he won one of the knives. I sent it to him, and he was quite pleased and that made me happy, and I thought we were done. So flash forward to the package...I open it and inside is this knife

I had been wanting to get one to check out the brand, but hadn't gotten around to it, so I was tickled to receive it. I mean, who doesn't like getting a new knife, right?

So Jamie, thank you for your generosity...it was not necessary, but certainly appreciated!
