Pups checked out great at the Vet. Clean bill of health.

Elsa toenails, shots and exam. Perfect weight. A sweetheart. Easy going.

Bear exam. Weighed in at 124 pounds. Healthy and BIG. Gained 12 pounds in 7 months. Great body index. Doc stunned at food consumption but sees no issue. Likely extremely active with toys when I am working.
Nails weren't happening. He banged 4 of us around in the back for bit. Literally! Nails good based of his regular walks.

Blessed.

Jerry.

Good news Jerry. When a dog eats so much it’s hard not to think they have a parasite. We don’t like dealing with parasites, it’s hard on us and the dog.
We have one that won’t let anyone trim her nails, my Girl Scout. She freaks out and is uncontrollable. Someone in her past must have cut them too deeply and hurt her and she has not forgotten it. She gets hers worn down on the walks and we see her chew on them when they get to where they bother her. Hate to not tend them but it’s a lot less stressful for her and no problems so far and it’s been 3 years since we rescued her.

Thanks my friend! When I say he banged 4 of us around in the back for a bit, I was not embellishing. About 3 minutes, 1 nail. I see blood on the floor and joke with the gal that she nipped his quick. She says no, look at your hand. Tore a small chunk off in the tussle banging it on the exam table or something. Better me then him I said.
I ask if his nails are long. Nope, look good from walking on sidewalks, etc. Ok, we are done.

Owning a powerful, large dog is quite the experience. I have a story to tell from 2 and half weeks ago where he unintentionally jacked me up physically. Think airborne holding the leash of a pissed off dog. It wasn't me he was mad at. I just went for the ride. Bear Wick! It was eye opening just how powerful he is. Cracked ribs, busted up knee. Still healing. Give the graphic details of the spectacle later.
Big sweetheart till he ain't. Pity on any fool whom tries to do me harm.

Jerry

I hear you Oscar and agree. My most trusted friends.

Thanks Mike. He is a hoot.

When I was there, they water him and I. Give him treats and socialization. Great for both of us. 1/4 mile from house on return leg of the walk.

They even say everytime I go, that if he is housebroken, I can let him off leash. My response is, "Well, he never has violated the indoor rule of dog business, but he is like a horse. He pisses where he pleases." So I keep him on leash. Mainly because he knocks over bar stools trying to chest up on them and the whole nine on leash.
Darn dog doesn't even lift his leg. Just spreads out a bit standing and lets loose. Of course he does the signature pee circle dance before he does so you do have notice.

Bear den.

This morning.

Jerry

Love the pictures of Bear and Elsa Jerry. It’s hard to capture the dark eyes of a dog with black hair around the eyes, but you nailed it on the pictures of Bear. Elsa is a sweet looking girl. Nice pictures all of them. Northern Nevada looks beautiful and a bit cold!

.... well, you could saddle him up and ride home !
The wife and I jokingly refer to large dogs by how much they could poo ... Bear looks like a 4-pounder

Thanks Oscar, Mark and Kim.

That's funny Chris.

My Sister asked oddly how large is an 125 pound dogs poop.

I told her "10 times the size of a 12.5 pound dog."

Rainy, cold day here.

Elsa on guard duty. She is funny where if I go inside, she posts up on the porch immediately. No words spoken. She hears the front door, she is there. Other than that, she is oblivious to the weather, as if the sun is shining.

We both like fairer weather, but we all have to get outside. Off to take Bear on his walk...

Not sure I understand the ranges John. Cool video.

I think I met Bear's breeder tonight by chance. She is certain as they met face to face. He took a liking to her for sure. One of her pups in my care now. Date of birth/age makes sense.
Swapped numbers but she is pretty sure and he was mesmerized by her. How cool is that?
She sure was happy someone stepped up and cared for him in a big way.
She has adopters sign contracts that if they surrender a dog, it goes to her, first crack. That didn't happen.
Appears that might not be the case if one of hers. She is sure it is. She was happy to see him and vice versa.
Waiting for her to get back to me after pic, records check, etc. Look forward to it. She is 99% he was her litter. Sweet!

Luna was picking a random number between 1-700. Since I don't (quite 🤣) have 700 shot glasses, I had to narrow the scope. First round was the hundreds, then the tens, then the __0 to __9. I think she did a good job.

One thing I have noticed in this thread is when people post pictures of their pets, they have 2 or even more. We have 2, Annabelle the tuxedo, and Sophie. Sophie was alone here for her first 2 years. Then along came Annabelle. After an initial introduction that involved some disagreement and hissing, they are now best friends. It's good to have a friend.
