Hey Mike, great minds think alike! I've been carrying mine pretty much all the time since making a trade for one as well. Kind of spoils you as far the other EDCs are concerned.

I'm really eager to see that, Lyle. Any idea about the timing of the unveiling?

Here's a couple nice American Elk 1/2 Congress knives (one sheepfoot, one wharncliffe) with acorn shields that I recently got in a trade with bkazz5. Curious thing...the acorn shield on the wharncliffe version is smaller than the one on the sheepfoot...I wonder why? ::hmm::

Thanks Mark.
I agree...they definitely are special. Now comes the hard part: keeping them pristine and tucked away securely in the collection (safe queens) and NOT carrying at least one of them on my person at all times. ::undecided::

After a long search and much assistance by fellow AAPK members, I finally picked up this SFO #85 Smooth Ivory Bone, Single Blade, Bullet End Jack, EZ Open, Liner Lock. Not an easy knife to find (for sale at a reasonable price anyway), about as common as hen's teeth as far as that goes.

Thanks for all the help, guys...(you know who you are)...VERY much appreciated.

Especially Jay (JAYLUPARK) who found this one in his collection and agreed to sell it to me for a really fair price. You Da Man, Jay! (PS He currently has a bunch of other really cool knives for sale on the Bay that I highly recommend checking out.)

Cheers & Aloha,

~Q~

Thanks caddyman...I still can't believe it sometimes myself. But, like I said: it was a group effort...I couldn't have done it on my own without all the help from my AAPK brothers. One thing about buying from, swapping with or selling a knife to a fellow AAPK member: you know it's going to a good home where it will be loved and well-cared for. Most of these knives I swap have become almost like a member of the family to me, as I'm sure many others can relate to.
