I've known of blades made of various plastics, but this is the first time I've heard of a G-10 blade. Naturally, it has me curious. I'd be quite interested to know how it performs.

Dan that was one thing that made me order it. Having worked at DFW Airport DPS I've seen numerous non-metallic knives but this one peaked my interest. Also I've used the G-10 material in making handles and it never occurred to me to make a blade with it. This knife sells for $17.99 and has a 4.3 rating (112 ratings). There are several others, even one called a DYNAMIS G-10 BLADE KIT but that thing sells for $190. I was totally surprise at how easy this one was to put an edge on it. Now as far as performance I don't use knives in everyday work so for me to test it wouldn't be a true test I don't think. However I do plan on carrying it for a while and we'll see how it holds up just in EDC. One other thing, from an airport security standpoint this one is scary. If you replaced the screws with plastic would it go through a walk-through metal detector?

Thanks C Wade
Yes it is very sweet the trapper, when I opened the toothpick from the box , just looked at it and it hardly had any of the burnt look on it. So I thought I will take a couple of pictures to post here, maybe it will look better. So I was sitting in my shop looking at it debating to send it back or not. I thought heck with it I will keep it. As I was closing the toothpick I noticed a little oil on the spring , kept closing the blade and no snap, well you could imagine the first word out of my mouth….lol.. so I call SMKW and sent it back.,…lol.. Sorry you got the long version…lol

Two more beauties Theo! ::tu:: I'm not a big fan of toothpicks, but for whatever reason I find yours quite attractive. IMHO, the coloring on both knive is exceptional, sorry you aren't satisfied. 8)

No I like the colors very much, the other side doesn’t have any black on it, I was still going to keep the tooth but it had no snap, I love the trapper and keeping it. But with no snap on the toothpick it had to go back…. ::tu::

Great knives Theo! ::tu:: I had no idea Cabellas sold nice knives like yours, I always thought they only sold the real low-end models. Your new Dr.'s knife is gorgeous too, I especially like the double shields, sooo cool! I recently got a couple of knives from Matt Sanders, and it could have easily been a dozen, he does have some great knive n stock! 8)
