I believe the one I found was imported to the Confederacy from England by blockade runners during the American Civil War, as is discussed here:

Sweet little pattern there. Recently got one myself, and I like it a lot. I thought it was a bit bigger than the 70, but I was wrong. Clip, coping, and pen is the perfect setup.

Sorry I don't know, would be great if it was a rare one, but with my luck it won't be. How do you tell the model # ? Tang has no # just Camillus over Cutlery over Camillus, NY over USA and Sword Brand on the back side.
